Guest guest
Well, I was attempting my second flush (the first being two weeks ago, with another aborted attempt the week before that one). I was on the apple juice all day yesterday (that stuff makes me gag after a day of it). This a.m. I had a colonic and went to work. At work I became very chilled, and turning on the space heater didn't help. So I went home, thinking a hot bath might help. After the bath, I threw up a bunch of very acidic stuff (the remnants of the juice). A few hours later, I tried the apple juice again, but it made my stomach hurt, so I had to stop the flush. I see on the Sensible Health website that does not recommend apple juice for people with ulcers. I don't know if I have an ulcer, but I do know that my stomach feels raw at times (I have a long history of aspirin abuse, but have stopped that, though I still take 1/4 tablet in water occasionally, as I'm headache prone). also doesn't recommend apple juice for people with candida, and I do have candida. I ordered some of her tinctures yesterday. I had decided that if this flush didn't produce better results than the first flush, that I would go on her tinctures and try again later. However, I do have some pain, and I noticed that after each of the aborted flushes and the one I completed two weeks ago, that I have had MORE pain. Is this normal--a result of the juice? What can I do in the meantime, while I wait for the tinctures to arrive? Should I do malic acid, apple cider vinegar tablets, a bit of olive oil each night? If so, how much? Where does one get the malic acid and apple cide vinegar tablets? I checked Walgreens and the local co-op for malic acid, but couldn't find it. Any advice on what to do in the meantime, would be appreciated. I did a castor oil pack last night, and will do one tonight, but when I did them last month, I didn't notice much happening as a result. The good news (I think) is that I have changed to a more holistic doctor for the new year (January). He works with hormone balancing. My chiropractor told me that women are more prone to gallbladder problems after menopause because they become estrogen dominant. Anyone on this group using hormone balancing to help with the gallbladder problems? I'd appreciate more info on the topic, if anyone knows about this. mrf in Milwaukee
