Guest guest
How do you know when you've done enough flushes? How do you know when you've had enough epsom salt and are about to " over- dose " ? I know too much magnesium isn't good for you and epsom salt is magnesium sulfate. Guest guest
Right, thats why I think people should be careful about the recommendation of, " hurry up and drink epsom salts to reduce pain! " . Especially someone for my size, if I drank epsoms every time I felt pain, I would be drinking them all day, every day, and probably wither to dust! lol Belskis <brian0017@...> wrote Drinking Epsom Salt to reduce pain is not a liver flush it is taking a laxative. Guest guest
A liver flush is the entire procedure Hulda or similar gives to remove gallstones. It can be done once every 2 weeks and there are many opinions of how often it should be done. If you have allergies they say you have to remove 2000 stones to stop the allergy symptoms. Barry a student of recommends at least 3 flushes for everyone. Drinking Epsom Salt to reduce pain is not a liver flush it is taking a laxative. Guest guest
I have found people can be in pain for simple reasons as not drinking enough water. Another reason taking to many stimulants and the body is too worn out to respond to them this can be and usually is prescription drugs. (steroids, and antibotics) From what I am reading about the liver by Henry G Bieler MD is that when the liver is run down and worn out that going to a diet of low starch low meat , high vegetable broth and fresh or frozen vegetables restores the natural sodium to build good bile in the liver. At the same time that means no high sugar pastries and such , little meat, no coffee or soda , no artificial sweetners. Raw vegetables may be too much for some people until they heal so vegetable soup is good. particularly he seemed to suggest zuccini a lot. (that does not mean fried zuccini in vegetable oil) And sometimes not eating at all and resting is more important then what you eat! All his patients who took his advice showed much impoved recovery over time but it is not a quick fix like taking a blue pill. Flour and refined wheat or sugar does not help a sick liver. Guest guest
My original question was " How do you know when you've had enough epsom salt and are about to " over-dose " ? I already know it is a laxative. And I know that too much magnesium is not good for you. I want to know what is a safe level of magnesium to be ingesting. Thank you for your input. Guest guest
No, I'm not confused about how epsom salt is used. Epsom salt has been around for many years and used as a laxative quite successfully and safely. I am just wanting to know how much magnesium we can ingest orally before putting ourselves in danger. I know magnesium is something we need to be careful with. Too much or too little aren't good. I haven't done any flushes yet. It has been about 30 years since I had a severe gall bladder attack. I've only recently started having mild attacks. I am still researching this to see if flushing is for me or not. I appreciate the time you've taken to answer my questions. Guest guest
Just a word of warning... I've done three flushes now. The first two olive oil/lemon only - no epsom salts. Last time I tried it with the Epsom salts. I spent a lot of time on the toilet before even starting the oil. After the oil, I didn't have a bm until the next morning. Got way less stones out this time. The other two times, I didn't use the Epsom salts and it worked way better for me. Got a few large (1 " ) stones out flush two. I also ended up having an allergic reaction to the Epsom salts. I don't know if it was the salts themselves or preservatives on them. Amy > No, I'm not confused about how epsom salt is used. Guest guest
here is the instructions from the epsom salt in my medicine cabinet Used internally as a laxative *Directions *Adults and childrn 12 years of age and older- 2 to 4 level teaspoons dissolved in a full glass(8 oz) of Water. If needed depeat dosage in four hours Limit 2 doses per day A small quantity of lemon juice may be added to improve taste *Warning:* As with any drug if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. keep out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contacta Poison Control Center immediately. Do not use laxative products when abdominal pain nausea or vomiting are present unless directed by a physician. If you have noticed a sudden change in bowl habits that persist over a period of two weeks, consult your physician before using a laxative product. Laxative products should not be used for a period longer then one week unless directed by a physician . Discontinue use and consult your physician if you experience rectal bleeding or failure to havea bowel movement after use of a laxative as these may indicate a serious condition. If you kidney disease do not use this product accept under the advice and supervision of a physician. How did your first flush go ? You did not share your results If your inflammed and it is not getting better after a liver flush and a bland diet then you should seek a physician if your not already doing so Maybe you misunderstood that the epsom salt was to help with the flush and any discomfort during the flush, such as if there was a stone caught in the bile duct. but not to take it as a pain reliever daily after the flush. Epsom salt used in hulda clarks liver cleanse is to relax the liver ducts so stones can be removed. Guest guest
- I think you are getting Kathleen and I mixed up. I am the one who recently did the flush for the first time, not Kathleen. I chose not to share my results with the majority of the list. The flush got out some " green things " , but I felt just as horrible on Monday as I did before I did the flush. I will not be doing the flush again, but I am glad the so many others have found great relief from them. Kathleen is asking specific questions about the ingredients in the flush. Guest guest
I have heard it takes more than one flush to do whatever needs to be done to make a gallbladder " better " , but I won't be using that advice. Everyone's body and situation on this list is very, very different. I never said I got the advice to use epsom salt as a pain reliever from you - that came from someone else on this list trying to help me when I expressed that I have been in constnat pain for two months. I do think that people on this list need to be very careful with the advice that they give, due to the difference in everyone's situation. I know we are all here to try to help one another Belskis <brian0017@...> wrote: Sorry your right I got you mixed up , sometimes it take more then one flush it is your decision what route you want to go . Guest guest
Every ones body is individual and diet but I have not met anyone who has a gallbladder on the left side instead of the right. It seems more a matter of faith to endure and continue but when gallbladder attacks come then it is just a matter of getting out of pain. The liver flush is more for prevention and maintaince then emergency gallstone removal. The liver is a filter in the body and just like a car the filter needs to be cleaned once and a while otherwise it can not filter out more then it can hold. The human body is not designed for filter replacement even though people get liver transplants it seems regular maintance is a better answer.
