It is used by the blood, the skin, the nervous system, the teeth and bones. Vitamin C is also used by the adrenal glands, thymus gland and the thyroid gland. Vitamin C can help your body fight all sorts of diseases, infections and there is even studies that say it can help your resist cancer. Vitaman C strengthens and protects your immune system by stimulating your antibodies and immune system. Vitamin C stimulates the immune system to make white blood cells. Vitamin C also stimulates the liver to detoxifying the toxins we take in every day. There was a study in the Journal of Epidemiology (May, 1992) that reported people who had high blood levels of vitamin C lived 6 years longer.
