I make my own with 1 tsp. sea salt and 1/8 tsp baking soda per 2 cups warm water. I filter this through a clean coffee filter to get out the grit that is in my sea salt.

Also I read about putting a small dab of Vitamin C buffered powder in the neti pot and do that myself. I also put a small drop of lugols in there.

Thought someone may want to know. :)

Netti Pot question

Hi, I have the grungies this morning and want to do the netti pot. I think I saw someone mention putting a drop of Lugol's and a bit of vit C powder in it? Now I can't find that post. Please, let me know how you did this. Thanks.

If using vitamin C, be sure to use Sodium Ascorbate, or some

other pH neutral salt. Otherwise it will burn your sinuses.

I now longer use C in my netti pot. I put 2 or 3 drops of

Lugols (the old 10% solution) in a bit less than 2 cups of water.

Then I let it sit for 24 hours near my warm stove so the Iodine

evaporates, leaving just KI. Otherwise the Iodine can burn sinuses.

I use Reverse Osmosis water which removes chlorine and fluoride.

I also gargle with 5 drops of Lugol's in 4 ounces of water (no

need to let it sit to evaporate Iodine) to get rid of post nasal drip

crud.
