Guest guest
Some Hormone Replacement (HRT) Products are made from Conjugated Equine Estrogen, which is derived from the Pregnant Mares Urine -- such as Premarin and Prempro. Science has made it possible to create molecules of estrogen (for example Estradiol) that are identical to human estrogen (bio-identical) from a vegetable source (I think the soy bean). In my opinion this is better for women, better for horses! (At least in the united states) the estrogen component in birth control pills is I think exclusively Ethinyl Estradiol, which is a synthetic estrogen (which I really do not think is derived from horse pee or similar). I think that ethinyl estradiol is somewhat similar to but not identical to estrardiol. > > Is this true? > Kathy >
Guest guest
Yep, sorry typing too fast and getting all crazy remembering how pissed I get every time I think about my daugher's endo. My point being that there's a lot of drugs they get from horse's etc. so what's so bad about the lowly little " pig " . So many doctor's use that excuse for not wanting to use Armour, with the reference that it's somehow tained. :-) Linn > > Some Hormone Replacement (HRT) Products are made from Conjugated > Equine Estrogen, which is derived from the Pregnant Mares Urine -- > such as Premarin and Prempro. >
Guest guest
What about pig valves being used in heart valve repair? Dumb endos. Guest guest
They use pig for bladder suspensions. ( of course they are finding out LATER that more often then not, the body absorbs it, leaving one needing another suspension " . > > > > Some Hormone Replacement (HRT) Products are made from Conjugated > > Equine Estrogen, which is derived from the Pregnant Mares Urine -- > > such as Premarin and Prempro. > > >
