Guest guest
I am a 45 year old male who has suffered gallstone attacks about twice a year for the past 6 years. I just assumed they were some sort of indigestion or intestinal blockage and tried to treat them with prune juice since I have no health insurance. The last attack a few months ago was so painful that I decided to research the problem before going to a doctor. By doing a Google search on stomach pain and blockage, I eventually discovered that I was suffering from gallstone attacks. I was then led to this Group and after reading some of the archives, went ahead with a flush. A couple of days ago, I felt another attack coming on. It was a small ache starting in the area of my gallbladder. Today, I decided to add jump roping to my exercise routine. When I started jumping, the pain in my gallbladder area got really sharp. But I continued jumping and after about 20 minutes, the pain had migrated down to my lower left abdomen area. Has anyone else found jumping to be a treatment for gallstones? For those who aren't fit enough to jump, what about bouncing on the balls of your feet without leaving the ground?
Guest guest
Just simply exercise will calm my attacks down. Hiking and walking are what I generally do. Lori
Guest guest
Maybe the motions of jumping would dissolve the stones, or polish their rough outside surface, minimizing the pain. Recurrent attacks signal damage to the GB lining and are an indicator for surgery. There has been a very slight association between cholecystectomy and cancer of the small and large intestine.
