Guest guest
I got a wart back about a decade ago. It got real tender when exposed to sunlight. It got tender when I bumped it. I tried some wart remover from the drug store, but that really irritated the surrounding skin. Eventually I stopped working days, and came out only at night, so my sun exposurewas negligable. The wart eventually went away, but it took a long long time (maybe a year). Several months ago, I got a new wart. Same hand, but different finger. I am now working days again, so my hands get sun exposure. The wart is on a part of my hand I use in pickling up and hauling stuff. So the wart got very irritated. I remember reading something a long time ago about Iodione being used to get rid of warts. I used google, but the only sites talking about Iodine for wart removal gave no references to any scientific studies. So I decided to experiment. I applied tincture of Iodine to the wart. Then, when my shipment of Lugol's arrived, I used Lugol's. I applied Iodine to the wart 4-5 times a day for about 2 weeks. The top of the wart got itchy and crusty. I picked off the crust. No pain, no bleeding. I kept applying Iodine. Over a month or so, there is no longer any external wart lump. There is no pain when I apply pressure to the area where the wart used to be. Skin is rough and dry in an area about twice the diameter of of the wart. I am not sure, but there may be some wart tissue left inside my finger. But it no loger gets irritated from pressure, or sun exposure. Alobar

Guest guest
The wart experiment I reported on back in May went away completly in about a month with no sign of it returning. Now (early September) I have a new wart. Exact same place on my finger, but on my other hand. Since warts are supposedly a virus infection, it seems odd that I would get a new one in the same place (within a mm), but on the other hand. I have begun using Lugol's three times a day on the wart. Guest guest
We have had success using cinnamon essential oil on warts, use a Q-tip to put some on it several times a day. Smells good too :)JackieOn Sep 9, 2006, at 2:49 PM, Alobar wrote:The wart experiment I reported on back in May went away completly inabout a month with no sign of it returning. Now (early September) I have a new wart.
