Guest guest
Got my results and hoping that you all can advice - from reading them looks like I do not have a thyroid problem. T3 level 1.7 nmol/ (0.9 - 2.5 i assume this range) Thyroid function test free T4 12.9 pmol/L (9.0 - 19.0) TSH Lev 1.678 mu/l (0.4 - 4.5) No result yet from thyroid antibody test - I think as not no list but was requested. These were taken in afternoon, - i read somewhere they are best taken in the morning is this correct? BBT still not hitting above 35.5 and I think I am Ovulating - what would cause this if no thyroid problem? I am even more confused now than before - where should I go from here? Any help appreciated. Thanks Bron
Guest guest
Hi Bron, My position is similar to yours, it's apparently a common story, bloods all 'normal'! Trouble is health and symptoms all 'not normal' and going down. If you're feeling rough, normal isn't right for you is it, no matter what the Dr's or their receptionists say? Antibody test takes longer, I only learnt that last week when I had one done. What prompted your thryoid blood tests in the first place, was it symptoms or .......? My own thyroid is physically already operated on 20 years back and has enlarged again recently. What I'm learning from tpa is there's so much more to all this than I EVER realised. If you're new to all this, and have the time, get reading everything you can. The files on this site are VERY informative and in my case led me to investigate others issues, such as adrenal function and it's association to the thyroid. I also found thyroiduk a useful source of info. I've just taken things a step at a time over the last couple of months, everybody's experience seems to be different, with a frightenly common thread of misdiagnosis! I've had a great deal of support from tpa members and am now just at the point of decision making about treating myself. So watch this space. Take care, keep smiling (and asking). x thyroid treatment , " b_wturner " <b_wturner@...> wrote: > > Got my results and hoping that you all can advice - from reading them > looks like I do not have a thyroid problem. Guest guest
Hi Bron If you still have symptoms and signs, then it matters not whether the receptionist says your results are normal or not. You should see your doctor and give him a list of your symptoms and signs and list any quesitons you need to ask him. Your FT4 could be higher, but wait and see if they did test to see if you have thyroid antibodies. If this wasn't done, request that they do this test, and also get your ferritin level 9stored iron) checked. I am a bit thinckish this morning, so not sure what BBT means.
