Is drinking alcohol good fro gallstones?

hi all

i'm having 13mm gallstone in my liver

i'm quite afriad of flushes . so looking for an alterante way.

some of my friends suggested that drinking alcohol helps dissolve the stones

can any of you confirm it whetther its true or false?

if true then which brand should i go in for (I'm a non-alcoholic ) like beer or

whisky or wine or red wine or vodka

pls be specific

also i'm an indian so any indian medicines u may also specify

it actually contributes to stones. So, to answer your question

literally, yes, alcohol is " good fro gallstones " .

One would assume alcohol consumption thickens bile

cholesterol viscosity in the same way that cholesterol-lowering

drugs like the statins lower blood cholesterol levels by

" poisoning' the liver (where all cholesterol is made).

Regarding alcohol, I'm sure every patient is different and one

man's poison could be another man's medicine. A bit of red

wine each evening seems to help my overall situation, but I'm

not u.

So, in addition to trying out that " Try Indian Matrimony " ad in your

post, I'd suggest u go with aruvedic medicine. Spend the big

rupees and go to a good --Indian medicine-- doctor over there.

Hint: Indian medical doctors don't specialize in measuring

pathologies.
