Guest guest
I just went through a tough month of wondering if I am gonna die, stomach pain. Ultrasound reveals gallstones. I was ready to get my gallbladder taken out until a few minutes ago when I saw all of these sites that say removal is a bad idea. What am I supposed to do first to get rid of this pain and these stones? Where can I get these cleansing supplies? Hurting here, please help. Thanks. Guest guest
Ricky, In my humble opinion, having your gall bladder removed is sometimes the wisest thing to do. Every situation and person is different. Are you having fever? Has the doctor insisted on immediate removal? I guess not, or you wouldn't be emailing! Many years ago, my doctor told me that as long as I could stand the pain and didn't have a fever, that I could keep my gall bladder. I finally got to the point that I thought I couldn't stand it anymore (I had been dealing with that pain for 10 years) and decided in November to have it out in December over the Christmas vacation. It seems that making that decision gave me some comfort of an unexplained sort. Mental stress does play a part in the attacks. I didn't have another attack and so I've kept my gall bladder nearly 40 years after the pain started. I have had two minor attacks in all those intervening years. I have not done any cleansings. I relied on yogurt, lecithin and ox bile supplement to get me thru the worst. I don't think the ox bile is available any longer. That helped a lot, though!!!!!!!!!! I don't know where to buy all the supplies, so you'll have to rely on someone else for that. I will pray for you. Read, read and read some more, decide which sources are reliable (not all of what you read is true) then make your decision with the best information you have. All my best to you, Kathleen On 3 Dec 2005 at 4:21, thirstydragon2001 wrote: > I just went through a tough month of wondering if I am gonna die, > stomach pain. Ultrasound reveals gallstones. Guest guest
You don't have to consume dairy to eat healthy. Some here don't. There is a wealth of information on the www.westonaprice.org site. Cod liver oil comes in gelcaps, making it easier to take! Homemade sourdough bread is a hit in my house, you can start out with just half whole wheat flour and half organic white flour. I use King Arthur Flour in my baking sometimes, it has barley malt added, which conditions the dough nicely. You can get sourdough starter at www.amazon.com if you cannot find it locally and don't want to start your own. Bone broth is another goodie - from fish heads from the local fish market is good, also from organic bones, like chicken or beef but stay away from factory-farmed bones as they can contain a lot of fluoride which interferes with iodine uptake and can inhibit the thyroid. Bone broth is a natural source of glucosamine/chondroitin, too, so very good for achy joints! Soaking the rice before you cook it is another nice baby-step. Just put it in to soak in the morning and it cooks up in no time when it's time for supper. I measure out the water and soak it in that so I don't have to adjust the recipe for the water the rice has absorbed while soaking. The trick to getting the family on board is to shift them gradually and find healthy things they like. Substitute when you can, and preach when you have to. Saying to your husband something like " Look honey, this says eating too much soy can make you grow breasts " might get his attention. ) --- In , " sewmissy2 " <id4umo@...> wrote: > > Okay, I am finally getting down to writing you about what this site is > all about.. Guest guest
These are some very good ideas. Thank you! Now to get some good bones..we don't have fish markets in SW Missouri that I know of. but I can get some pasture raised beef, lamb, chickens and turkeys. I guess that is the next step for me. The bone broth sounds like a good thing for me with my joints. Fish broth sounds very nasty..someone please reassure me! My husband does not eat soy..so the breast thing wouldn't fly I'll have to think of one for the sugar he eats so much of.. Guest guest
> If you want to learn fermenting, Sandor Katz's book " Wild > Fermentation " is fantastic. Seconded. > By the way, if your kids don't eat plain > yogurt, you can stir in melted jam for fruit flavor, or maple syrup. > At least they'll be getting the good dairy! My kids always eat it with jam, maple syrup or honey. I'm the only one who can eat it " straight, " apparently.
