Guest guest
hi I was terribly fatigued for several months on 50mg Iodoral---eventually it passed. I wasn't taking the companion nutrients then and I think I should have been. I also finally went to 100mg Iodoral and maybe should have done that too. I don't think that taking less than 50mg Iodoral is very useful. gracia 6 weeks ago I started with Iodoral, 25mg per day. The first few days I had some sinus sensitivity then felt great for about a week. After that I was horribly fatigued for weeks. Brought back terrible memories of hypoT fatigue pre-Armour. Just wondering if I was taking too much, not enough?? Prior to starting the Iodoral I did an Iodine Loading test and spilled 66%. I'm currently taking Armour 3 grains, DHEA, Pregnenolone, Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Multivitamins/Minerals and Calcium daily. Cytomel 5mcg every other day. Thanks for any help you can offer. Guest guest
Sounds like bromide detox to me. I had the same problem at doses lower than 50 mg, but they cleared up when I increased me dose. Here's a few suggestions to help clear that bromide out. Go here and read what symptoms it includes http://www.breastcancerchoices.org/bromidedetoxsymptomsandstrategies.html Do a salt load http://www.breastcancerchoices.org/drshevin.html Increase Vit C - 3,000 - 4,000 mgs / day Increase Mg Do liver friendly things like adding lemon to water or taking a liver cleanser like Metagenics Ultra Clear Plus ----- Original Message ----- >6 weeks ago I started with Iodoral, 25mg per day. Guest guest
Hi ~ Really? You had less bromide detox on more Iodoral? Wow. I recently stopped taking my 50mg to help the body clear detox before going back on. My only symptom is the acne. ~ -----Original Message----- Sounds like bromide detox to me. Guest guest
Yes, weird, isn't it? I was afraid to go up because I was having these crushing headaches. Steph talked me into trying 50 mg and I haven't had more than 2-3 of those headaches in 6 months. If I feel one coming on, I just skip the iodoral that day to let the bromide clear out. I still get the bromide zits sometimes, but I can handle that. Those headaches will kill you. Besides that, I am having lots of trouble with my parotid glands after RAI. I take one day off each week and I can tell a difference in my glands those days. I took 2 days off this week because I ran out of iodoral over the weekend. They started swelling up again after the 2nd day. ----- Original Message ----- > Hi ~ > > Really? You had less bromide detox on more Iodoral? Wow. Guest guest
I read a post somewhere that suggested the adverse side effects could mean I'm suffering from adrenal problems and should stop the Iodoral and address the adrenals first. I've been addressing the adrenals for a year but my cortisol levels are still low in the afternoon and evenings. Do you think I should continue with the Iodoral at a higher dose anyway? > > Sounds like bromide detox to me. Guest guest
Iodine helps to heal the adrenals so I am not for stopping iodine when adrenals need help. Guest guest
I agree that symptoms of fatigue and rashes on beginning Iodoral could be bromine detox. I usually suggest backing off for a while and then starting again gradually. Iodoral helps kick out the bromines, but we don't have to do it all overnight. Get trade secrets for amazing burgers.
