Guest guest
I can't take the salt in water. It makes my stomach hurt for some reason. I use OJ instead. ----- Original Message ----- >I wanted to know if it is necesary to mix the 1/4-1/2 tsp of salt in > warm water. Is the warm temperature necessary to make it work. Guest guest
Deb Cold water must be warmed in the stomach before it will pass to the intestine. This gives the body time to absorb the salt and the process diminishes the necessary effect. Guest guest
>Duke, Thanks for your reply. I'm new here and don't exactly understand what you are saying. If you have time to explain it further I would appreciate it very much. Thanks. Deb > Deb > Cold water must be warmed in the stomach before it will pass to the intestine. Guest guest
Someone asked: > I thought salt loading was to balance sodium/ potassium/aldosterone > levels, not as a cathartic... The question still wasn't answered. I also thought the salt loading was to balance minerals and clear bromine/toxins via the urine. I was not aware that it was to stimulate bowel movement. Can someone please clarify this for me? How exactly should the salt be taken to get the appropriate toxin-clearing effect? TIA, in FL --- nowski Hawthorne, Florida sumar@... Guest guest
You should take ½ tsp each time. The idea is to get the toxins flushing out. I can’t imagine you are taking 4 hours to start peeing after drinking 48 oz. of water, with or without salt. Are you drinking a good amount of water before doing the salt loading? I wonder if you are dehydrated and so need so much liquid before you start urinating. I do 1/4t. salt, then 16oz water. I can do that 3x, once every half hour, and never pee once. About four hours later, I'll pee. I wouldn't call it copiously.Should I eat more salt at a time? How many times can I do this in a row before I drown? Not sure what to increase.Thank you!
Guest guest
I don't think there is anything wrong with my bladder. I don't drink enough water in general. I did the 1/2 tsp, though, and drank 16oz water and about 30 minutes later, started going what I would call " copiously " . That just never happened before. And I peed for a couple of days, drinking tons of water because I was thirsty. All good.
