Desperately need some advice please

Hi all,

Have been feeling increasingly tired and pushed my GP to find out what

is wrong with me.

Bottom line is I have the following options:

1 Open referral to endo on NHS but have researched all the endos

available and all seem to be diabetes specialists.

2 GP said he could do a trial of thyroxine although I'm likely to feel

better whether hypo or not!

3 Get a referral to go and see Dr Skinner

Please could you advise what you think the best course of action is.

That is a fact - but don't be downhearted, because some who have a specialty in diabetes DO know what they are talking about when it comes to dealing with thyroid problems. Let us know where you live and we will see if there is anybody in your area who we could recommend. Not sure what he means, unless he is saying he feels because you will be taking thyroxine, if you feel better, it will becaus of a "placebo effect". If that is his thinking, I would run a mile away from him and find yourself another doctor - and quickly>3 Get a referral to go and see Dr Skinner

If you are able to afford it, then most definitely. Dr Skinner only treats privately. He is a good man and knows what he is talking about - he has made thousands of patients well again.
