Guest guest
, Thanks so much! We've been using those forever, but I've been paying twelve dollars a bottle, plus shipping, sothis is a great deal! Guest guest
For your basic maple pancake syrup the least expensive and best tasting is Log Cabin, available at your local grocery. My kids love this stuff and they are real sugar free snobs. They hate certain brands. Stasia
Guest guest
Why no milk?? Milk is an importasnt part of the diet for those not lactose intolerant. It has good protein, good carbs, and good calcium - all essential for bandsters. Nofat is best - try the " Skim supreme " or simialr milks at Safeway, that add nonfat milk soids to nonfat milk. it is thicker and delicious, and tastes just like 2% with far fewer calories. Milk is the one exeption to the " avoid all liquid calories " rule. Be very careful of sugar-free things. they are made for diabetics who cannot process sugar, and are NOT generally for weight loss. Many use a sugar-substitute like sorbital that has even nmore calories than sugar, and one that can cause severe diarrhea and cramps in some . Sugar is not the enemy. sugar is fuel for the body, and 1000% essential. it's the excess and junk sugar we need to avoid. reasonable quantities of the hlthy sugars fine, and necessary. Guest guest
I hope you're doing herbal caffeine free teas.....regular green or black tea has as much, or more, caffeine as regular coffee. Tea isn't usually as acidic as coffee, but it'll sure wire you up as much or more. dan Saturday, May 3, 2008, 6:02:02 AM, you wrote: > I have given up the cofee monster and I was looking for ways to make > plain tea taste good without adding milk. -- " It's OK to be a little broken, everybody's broken in this life " Jon Bon Jovi Dan Lester, Boise, Idaho, USA www.mylapband.tk Banded 4/27/03, Dr. Ortiz, Tijuana Started at 355, at goal in the 210-220 range for almost 4 years Ultimate goal of 195 Tummytuck in Boise and SmartLipo in Tijuana
Guest guest
All coffee and non-herbal tea interferes with iron absorption too, so should not be taken within an hour either way of meals or vits. Lots of Bandsters are becoming anemic from inadequate red meats and other iron-rich foods, and w need to be absorbing as much iron as we can get from foods - women in the menstrual yers, particularly. (See the IRON document inthe files here) Sandy r > > > I have given up the cofee monster and I was looking for ways to make > > plain tea taste good without adding milk. > > > -- > " It's OK to be a little broken, everybody's broken in this life " Jon Bon Jovi > Dan Lester, Boise, Idaho, USA www.mylapband.tk > Banded 4/27/03, Dr. Ortiz, Tijuana > Started at 355, at goal in the 210-220 range for almost 4 years > Ultimate goal of 195 Tummytuck in Boise and SmartLipo in Tijuana >
Guest guest
I use a lot of decaf tea- mostly decaf white. Green tea just never appealed to me. > > > I have given up the cofee monster and I was looking for ways to make > > plain tea taste good without adding milk.
Guest guest
My iron is great since I was banded. I was anemic before and now I am 13.2. I'm not sure why- maybe it's a better diet and regular vitamins? > > > > > I have given up the cofee monster and I was looking for ways to > make > > > plain tea taste good without adding milk. > > > > > > -- > > " It's OK to be a little broken, everybody's broken in this life " > Jon Bon Jovi > > Dan Lester, Boise, Idaho, USA www.mylapband.tk > > Banded 4/27/03, Dr. Ortiz, Tijuana > > Started at 355, at goal in the 210-220 range for almost 4 years > > Ultimate goal of 195 Tummytuck in Boise and SmartLipo in Tijuana > > >
