Guest guest
Hi, Kat, Your exact story is one we hear a lot, right down to the starting with half an Iodoral if detox symptoms show up. Congratulations on finding a comfortable dosage and an iodine-literate doctor. Regarding the breast painting, I don't recall ever seeing an actual website link. Reports of painting with Lugol's solution or Iodine tincture have come from patient activists who use a Q-Tip or a paint brush. There have been a few reports of overdoing it there too because the breasts seem to suck up the iodine rapidly. (The breasts compete with the thyroid for the available iodine thus the painting has proven more immediately effective if painful breasts are a major complaint.) Again, in our experience from the Iodine Investigation Project, women who have acheived the best results start slowly. One woman whose breasts were horribly painful she painted her entire breast and armpit, got a rash after several months and is now taking a break from iodine therapy. The strategy of most doctors is to saturate the tissues over a period of time. Good luck and report in again! Lynne http://breastcancerchoices.org/IodineInvestigationProject.html I wrote previously of negative > side effects (jumpy, irritable, acne etc.) well after to speaking to my Doc who told me my thyroid TSH is at a 0.8 he told me to cut back on > the Armour and concentrate on the Iodine. So I went from 90 to 60 > Armour and a little more than a half Iodoral a day.
