Guest guest
Meghan, WE have missed you, but all understand about the ups and downs of this " tiger " that lives and roams inside of our bodies . It's almost like a cruel joke, because as soon as you think somethings is working, it stops or changes:(....but then it can get better. To postitive sometimes is hard, I like your description of forward thinking, that is so true. I have been busy with my daughters wedding, finally got everything done, it was last saturday, and my 3 year old grandson vomited on me just before I was about to be seated? Thank God for Baby wipes-they clean almost anything. If I remember correctly, you live in central California and also see a Rheumy at Stanford. If you could let me know, or E-mail me direct, I need some info. I am glad to see you are back, please let me know if I can help with anythings. Gentle Hugs & Prayers, Carol
Guest guest
Have you considered doing something about the cholesterol? Test is still low. I would be trying to get a higher testosterone level to see if you get additional benefits. If you can't get the level higher with Androgel, I would consider another delivery method. Guest guest
For the high cholesterol, lots of fiber, exercise, and healthy eating, plus with rising T- levels should bring it down. If not i will take the common medication for it. Will have another blood test end of the year. The blood tests results below are from before starting androgel, i have been on it for 6 weeks. Will get the t-levels checked end of the year. I do think i might be better off with the injections, will ask my endo in January, after give blood end of dec. I am starting to apply the androgel thicker and let it dry, i was spreading it out thin everywhere thinking that would be beter. Hope the thicker layers will get my T up to 300+ It is so hard to belive i have such freaking low testosterone. No wonder i felt like shit for years. > > Hi all, > > > > Blood test are: > > > > TRIGLYCERIDES 153 HIGH range <150 mg/dl > > CHOLESTEROL, TOTAL 295 HIGH range <200 mg/dl > > HDL 50 range > OR = 40 mg/dl > > LDL 214 HIGH range <130 mg/dl (calc) > > CHOL/HDLC RATIO 5.9 HIGH range <5.0 (calc) > > > > T-Total-186-LOW-ng/dl-range-260-1000 > > %-free-2.09-range-1.0-2.7 > > free-39.0-LOW-pg/ml-range-50-210 > > > > FSH 2.1 range 1.4-18.1 miu/ml > > LH 2.2 range 1.5-9.3 miu/ml > > PROLACTIN 6 range 2-18 ng/ml > > > > PSA 0.51 range 0.00-4.00 ng/ml > > > > CREATININE 1.2 range 0.5-1.4 mg/dl > > AST 19 range 2-50 u/l > > > > Ferritin was normal (don't have those numbers) > > > > MRI of brain and pituitary were normal. Guest guest
Hi all, I'll be unsuscribed from this group for a while, at least until the end of the year. I just got back from Stockholm. Deanna I am not sure if I know what is creating this ....but the frontal lobe of the brain controls emotions. Some people do although have psychological ways (different than others) of handling their stress. Some cope by denial , others rationalize ...I don't think its a cut and dry situation for people to not care. We all have our different ways of coping. The brain and the psyche are very complicated and I for ONE am not qualified to say what the real answer is.
