What should I ask / say to my endocrinologist?

Hello again,

I'm on 125mcg Levothyroxine and not feeling right - cold, zero

libido, edgy, palpitations, light-headed on standing... I finally got

the results of my last blood test and discovered that they've only

been testing TSH. After going v. hyper following the birth of my baby

just over a year ago, I then dropped below and the levels of TSH were

78 (June 07), 11.6 (Aug o7) - after starting treatment, 2.5 (Sep 07)

and recently 2.9 (Mar 08) with a reference range of 0.2-2.5

GP suggested that I could try just taking 100 mcg instead of 125 and

that might stop me feeling jittery in the evenings, but I'm not

sure. I have started taking the tablets before bed instead of in the

morning which has possibly improved things a bit. I pushed my GP for

an appointment with the endocrinologist which she agreed to.

However, I really don't know what to say when I go. Do you think I

should suggest taking T3 or try Armour thyroid? Are most

endocrinologists very closed to this suggestion?

Thank you for your help and I am hugely impressed with all the work

that TPA-UK has done and is doing.
