Guest guest
I think the " sweet spot " is very over-rated. There is no fill that is perfect all the time. there are far too many variables - what we choose to eat, how well we process (chew) the food, the fill level itself, the time of day, our hydration level, and much more. The best we can ever get is " pretty good, most of the time, when i eat well and remember the band rules " We will always have to put in good effort ourselves. I'm not meaning at all to be pessimistic, but I've been at this for close to 6 yrs now and have dealt with many thousands of bandsters - all expecting a perfect fill. I find most people who think they have a great fill actually have way too much and can barely eat, and are in a dangerous position. This is why the slip and erosion rate has more than doubled in the last few years, People think " sweet spot " means the band screams at them fter 3 bites of food and they CANNOT eat any more. sure hope YOU don't! See the next post for the definition of a " good fill level " vs " a fill that is too tight! " Sandy r band educator
Guest guest
Sandy, you are absolutely right! Dr. Kuri did not want to give me more fill few months ago. Supposly I have a good fill, have I reached the sweet spot? I do not know, at times I am ok with 1 cup, others I crave more, and yes if I eat too fast I pay consequences. I put more in my plate that I can eat, luckly now I learn to disposed and not keep putting in my second stomach. Is day at the time, each day is different for me. My weight is the same, I know I need to excercise, but now I am just focusing to maintain till Holidays are over.
