not a dumb shit, if you were you would not be here posting your " confession " .

And honestly, I am jealous that you had the wine LOL Just 10 more days until I

have the baby though!!!! ;)

Ken, I don;t know about you, but ** I ** took a very long time to gainweight and

learn all my bad habits. You might have too. :-)We can't expect to be able to

change them overnight. We are all humanand aLL GOOF, and will never be

perfect-We need to learn to be gentle and forgiving with ourselves. most of

ushave a very poor self-image after years of obesity in a cruel world. One of the

very impt things with banding is to change that, feelconfident and self-loving

again, and then we are much less likely towant to hurt ourselves with poor

habits.I feel strongly that we all need to be working with a good therapiston

these issues. the band itself does nothing at all to change mentalattitudes, and

emotional eating/food issues. We have to work on thoseourselves, and a good

therapist is invaluable. Mine sure was. Thisextremely important area is one that

is greatly UNDERemphasized. Please try your best to weight only weekly. All we

are aFTER IS FATLOSS, and a gradual downward trend over time. Weighing daily

measurtesonly hydration levels, bowel status, salt levels, and other

uselessthings that that only depress us.Turkey is very salty, and your weight

" gain " is likely only fluidweight and will be gone soon. as far as the white

wine, a glass or two occasionally is fine - and isthe lowest calorie drink we

can choose.so keep the faith, don't beat yourself up, and keep learning a

bitmore every day.Sandy>> Well I tryed living a little the

Ken, Don't bet yourself up to hard. I'm Glad to here that your

limitations are putting on the weight. These way you and I will not

do that again. There are ways to eat around the band and you and I

now know why you can't do it. It well put your weight back on.

Good Luck and stay strong

Sorry about that, here is what I actually wrote:

Ken, I already have a 4 year old daughter and yes indeed it is the greatest

thing ever...MOST days ;) As for losing constantly, well, that just does NOT

happen. In my experience in losing weight with and even without the band it

comes off and then the body takes a break to adjust to everything and then gets

back to losing again. Just stick with it and if you feel like something isn't

right then reaccess what you are eating, drinking, and what activity you are

getting. Most of all, keep in touch with your support!

AND to read what others have posted, gives me strength.

the basement and I shall never surrender!!
