Thank you for the information.

actually, the food at the Chinese place was really lean. We are

talking steamed shrimp, steamed crab, broiled salmon and baked

chicken. I am not sure about the egg drop soup, but I only had about

1/4 cup. The nachos I thought were good becasue it was real cheese,

light and the ground beef was 98% lean. The nacho chips were baked,

not fried and only had a few. I thought that it would've been an

excellent choice. That is also why I got white meat chicken salad

with light mayo on it. Thought it would be moist and full of protein.

I will do the liquid again and same with soft. My doc never said

anything about it, though I've seen people mention it online from their doctor.

I love the band though.

Thank you, Sharon. I don't get a lot of information for that type

thing. The nuts at the hospital are much more familiar with gastric

bipass. I had absolutely no restriction before, so it was never an

issue. I am doing better now, but will keep an eye open to make sure

I am not too tight.

I don't seem to have problems with bread. It is weird, because I

expected to. I did have trouble with whole wheat spagetti.

When I had my surgery I was told that I would eventually be able to

eat everything I always could, just very small quantities and chewing a lot.

I didn't have trouble with bread until my last fill. The bread I'm eating

is Ezekiel sprouted bread (no flour, whole grain sprouts, high fiber.not

sure how they do that, but it's good), but with the last fill, it joined the

ranks of the other caution foods on my list.

Almost everyone has trouble with bread if they have a good fill. maybe

you don't quite yet. There are a number of " avoid " or " caution' foods

we should be aware of. it's only the bypass people that can eat most

foods - even sweets eventually.

but even if we CAN eat bread, white pasta, white rice, and other junk

food, we really need to avoid them and choose only the most nutritious

foods, since we have so little pouch room.
