Ken, Don't bet yourself up to hard. I'm Glad to here that your

limitations are putting on the weight. These way you and I will not

do that again. There are ways to eat around the band and you and I

now know why you can't do it. It well put your weight back on.

Good Luck and stay strong

I guess I am lucky that I don't care for the taste of wine or beer

and can't afford strawberry daiquiris.

Hoping I learn from my setbacks as you seem to have from yours.

Ken, I don;t know about you, but ** I ** took a very long time to gain

weight and learn all my bad habits. You might have too. :-)

We can't expect to be able to change them overnight. We are all human

and aLL GOOF, and will never be perfect-

We need to learn to be gentle and forgiving with ourselves. most of us

have a very poor self-image after years of obesity in a cruel world.

One of the very impt things with banding is to change that, feel

confident and self-loving again, and then we are much less likely to

want to hurt ourselves with poor habits.

I feel strongly that we all need to be working with a good therapist

on these issues. the band itself does nothing at all to change mental

attitudes, and emotional eating/food issues. We have to work on those

ourselves, and a good therapist is invaluable. Mine sure was. This

extremely important area is one that is greatly UNDERemphasized.

Please try your best to weight only weekly. All we are aFTER IS FAT

LOSS, and a gradual downward trend over time. Weighing daily measurtes

only hydration levels, bowel status, salt levels, and other useless

things that

that only depress us.

Turkey is very salty, and your weight " gain " is likely only fluid

weight and will be gone soon.

as far as the white wine, a glass or two occasionally is fine - and is

the lowest calorie drink we can choose.

so keep the faith, don't beat yourself up, and keep learning a bit

more every day.
