Guest guest
i have been taking armour and nae since april and everything has been going well. however this weekend i have crashed and have become very weak and tired. my thinking is that the adrenals are no longer working properly and so i need to try something stronger. on my saliva test results it shows the cortisol is in range but the DHEA falls below range at noon and 4pm. do i then take DHEA tablets or go for the cortisol. i dont want to go on the isocort as i see it is a bit like the nae tablets. another question is, since the adrenals are not working do i stop taking my armour temporarily? Thanks ps. i have emailed and left a message for dr p. but no reply yet.
Guest guest
Good God man! I have heard that the recommended exercise for someone with adrenal fatigue is gentle walking. We have to let the adrenals heal and they cannot while there are still any drains on them like heavy exercise, bad food/toxicity. unhealthy relationships, work stress etc etc etc. I have heard this compared to a colander with many holes and we have to plug up the holes to heal. Did you have saliva labs done ? Are you considering cooling down on the exercise? I can barely get out of bed at the moment and cannot even begin to understand how you could do this amount of exercise whilst ill. Mo .. Guest guest
yes i have had the saliva test done and i have been doing some research on the net today about the stages of adrenal failure. i reckon i am at stage 2 where cortisol production is quite high, but DHEA is low and so the ratio between the 2 is high (not good apparently). i will describe what the graph shows in words and if anyone wants the actual figures i will post them: Cortisol: Starts ABOVE the upper band and then moves to the lower band (right on it) at 12 noon. it is in the middle of the band at 4pm and slightly above the middle at midnight. DHEA: Starts in the band at the 3/4 mark then falls out of the lower band at noon and 4pm. it finishes in the middle of the band at midnight. So i have answered my query which i had at the start of the day. i will be using DHEA when it arrives and expect this should do the trick (it probably wont). i will post what the result will be when i do or dont improve. if i do improve it will be useful knowledge for others. this relationship between the cortisol and DHEA is what causes all the problems with the adrenals (a lot of them). the balance between the 2 seem to be the key. this is a good site to look at. http://www.drlam.com/A3R_brief_in_doc_format/adrenal_fatigue.cfm#
Guest guest
Hi hon Cannot say about the Candida thing, either all the yeasts down there saw the beer come down and decided to throw a party; or maybe you just coincidentally got a bit of a food poisoning bug from the Tappas? I don't know if you were eating out or in. With regard your adrenal support, I have no idea why you would need to be off thyroxine for 8 days before starting it? I may be missing something though. Have you done the saliva test? lotsa luv Dawnx
Guest guest
I understand the 'feel' hehe. probably a good idea then to ease off the TH for a little while, just don't go hypo on us lol Hey ya never know, you might need less TH when adrenals are supported:) lotsa luv Dawnx
