Guest guest
Hi , I have had a look at what is in thyroid complex and here's the list: Formulation Rationale: Thyroid concentrate: Pure New Zealand tissue extract L-Tyrosine: An essential amino acid necessary for the formation of all thyroid hormones Sea Kelp: An excellent source of iodine, the basic substance of the thyroid hormones Zinc (as Zinc citrate): This trace mineral stimulates immune response. It is essential in the conversion of less active thyroid hormone T4 to T3. The citrate form of zinc is readily absorbable and leaves an alkaline ash residue. Anterior Pituitary: A pure New Zealand tissue extract that produces TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone). Copper (as Copper citrate): A mineral essential in the conversion of less active thyroid hormone T4 to T3. Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxal-5-phosphate I think this (thyroid complex) coupled with the nutri thyroid may be working a bit too well and causing your adrenals to struggle. If I were you I'd probably stop both the nutri thyroid and the thyroid complex and concentrate on getting your adrenals better supported. It may be necessary to up your NAE to 3 or even 4 for a while. There's no exact science here but it's very much a suck it and see situation. Once you start to feel things calming down you could re-introduce the nutri thyroid as this simply encourages your own thyroid to do some work. I'm not sure that I like the look of the thyroid complex, that's my own personal feeling based on the fact that I can't see how much of everything you are getting from each tablet but it could be worth trying small doses in order to ascertain how they affect you. I'm sure there will be someone here who can give you more info on this and of course Dr Peatfield will contact you in the near future I'm sure.
