That's wonderful that you have noticed an improvement. As for testing, yes

after 3 mos on 50 mgs that is a great time to test with a loading test. Dr.

Abraham says that after that amount of time on 50 mgs most will be saturated

(90%). When doing your test, stop all iodine for 48 hours before doing the

loading test. That takes circulating iodine out of the system that might

skew the test. When you take this test you will get a saturation

percentage. Did you have another loading test prior to taking the iodine?

If not that is OK. Just do this test and see where you land. Based on the

results that will tell you how to continue with your dose.

Does that help?

Good job Beth,

It's so uplifting to hear these good reports! Can't wait for my

is it possible to do a loading test entirely on your own? Or do you need a dr to do or order the test for you?On Jan 5, 2008 10:13 PM, claudia <

You can order it on your own. Go to the files section on the group and the information for all the options are there.

Post your results when you get them.

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi Steph,

Well, I got the results of my loading test today. It was 96%. (I did

the test Sunday, ending Monday morning. I last took Lugol's on

Thursday morning.) I guess I'll drop back to 2 drops/day now. What do

you think?
