Guest guest
Similar experience for my poor fella - he was sitting eating his lunch, he started to look very worried and then got up and went into the bathroom, it took me 10 minutes to be able to speak when he finally admitted what was wrong LOL. Luv nne I was on my computer upstairs when he came running up the stairs shouting "What's wrong with me..." He couldn't understand it when I burst out laughing as I knew, but I had forgotten to tell him;o)
Guest guest
What dose of Niacin is he prescribing and is he prescribing the non-flushing Niacin. If it is the ordinary Niacin, be warned that you can get a reaction of 'flushing' from your big toe to the top of your head and you can go bright red. When took it for the first time, he had to go to the garage to get a tyre changed on the car. He took the tablet just before he went out, and while he was waiting for the car, he felt very very hot and noticed his arms were goiong bright red. When he got in the car, he saw his face in the mirror and was really terrified. I was on my computer upstairs when he came running up the stairs shouting "What's wrong with me..." He couldn't understand it when I burst out laughing as I knew, but I had forgotten to tell him;o) He now takes the non-flushing Niacin and is fine. Some people however, do OK on the ordinary tablets. Guest guest
I take 1000mg & yes it's a slow release formulation which you take at night. Patients are warned about flushing and I think it only happened to me once or twice & certainly not recently. On the occasion it did happen I looked like a boiled lobster.
