Has anybody heard of thyroid dumps happening to folks on thyroid meds

when starting iodine? It wouldn't be that abrupt would it? You'd

notice yourself becoming hyper and could lower your dose. Thanx! ~

This happened to me but it was gradual and very limited. I wouldn't call it a

dump - I would

say the difference of a quarter grain at most. (which is what I reduced by)

You can have it where your thyroid works better and you feel hyper. If you

are on thyroid meds the protocol that Dr. Brownstein recommends is to cut

your thyroid meds in half and then increase up again as needed.

, did you do that with no thyroid? I cut my Armour today from 3.25gr to 2 grains in desperation to lower my HR.

It is still 112 resting. I reckon it will take a few days?

That's what Dr. B told me to do although I was scared to do it. I was still trying to get up to my optimum dose at that time.

Lynda,

I just recently cut my Armour because of a dump caused by higher HC.

I reduced more than half and was fine. I was at 6 and went to 2. Now

at 3 and doing just fine. This was at T's advice.
