Hi Sheila,

I am sure/certain some of the problems the guys and gals are

experiencing are due to vit and min defs.

Please see article link below:-

http://www.thyroid-info.com/articles/topsupplements.htm

Only thing I would say about this article/link is that where it

mentions Iodine – Iodine must NOT be taken if already on thyroid

medication. This is only for people who are trying to support their

thyroid before it fails. If thyroid down then magnesium/zinc/B/ etc.

etc. cannot be metabolised with serious consequences.

In saying all of the above however, one also has to be careful re self

administration of vits and mins if you are not aware of the pitfalls

i.e. other health issues/prescribed drugs that could be affected by

taking supplements - however, I must point out that NO-ONE has ever

died due to taking vitamins and minerals - I wish we could all say the

same re the pharmaceutical drugs being thrown at the population as a

whole. Also if you don't take one that is `man' enough for the job

you are throwing your money away. What an awful afflication thyroid

disorders are………………..... so dependent on other issues to achieve the

ultimate feeling of well being. I was one of the lucky ones who has

been studying the science of nutrition for over 40 years and had at my

disposal the ability to be tested in London to see what deficiencies

were going on………..... wouldn't it be wonderful if ONE day everyone

could have this science at their disposal. I know I wouldn't have

made it without the supplements I took to correct the imbalances in my

body - causing such dangerous physical symptoms – which resulted in

my thyroid disorder being ten times worse, and life threatening.

So very very sad……………

Hope you all find the article of interest and that it helps.

regards

Mandy
