Guest guest
Thanks for the reference ranges, and yes, I agree that boty your cortisol and DHEA appear to be absolutely fine, so you could cut right down on your NAE and gradually wean yourself off them. I am so pleased you are doing so well on Armour and feeling so much better. Keep up the good work and keep us informed of how you get on when you raise your dose again. luv - Sheila > > 8.00am ( Ranges 12.0 to 33.0)> salivary cortisol> 23> > salivary DHEA sulpahate> > 20.1 (8.0 to 24.0)> > 12 noon> 10.0 salivary cortisol (10.0 to 28.0)> > 12.4 Salivary DHEA sulphate (5.0 to 10.8> > 4.00pm > > 5.4 salivary cortisol (6.0 to 11.8)> > 7.8 Salivary DHEA( 3.5 to 7.5)> > midnight> 1.9 salivary cortisol (1.0 to 5.0)> 7.4 salivary DHEA (2.0 to 5.0)> > I have just been on armour for 12 days now and getting on fine. Guest guest
It does say what they use on mine: nmol/L Normal range 21-41 nmol/L ? chris
Guest guest
The reference range for the individual times of the cortisol and DHEA are not placed next to the results they give, but they are there if you look at another part of the page the results are on. The test is to test how your adrenals are functioning under stress - that is why it is called the adrenal stress index. Luv - Sheila Thanks. Reading through those now. I just read elsewhere Dr Peatfield says to run the test on a routine stress conditions, so that sounds about right. Does anyone know what measurements Genova's adrenal test uses? I don't think it says so on the results.
