RE:Iodine and fatigue

I take Lugol's Solution periodically, usually when I'm not feeling well. I

think it helps me to recover quicker from illnesses.

However, whether I take one drop daily or six drops when I'm well,

eventually it just makes me tired. It seems as this takes longer at six

drops daily. I have a lot of mercury fillings and wonder if it has anything

to do with the Lugol's Solution releasing any toxins, but I really don't

know.

Dr. Derry claims that if one is on the amount of Armour Thyroid that I'm on,

the thyroid doesn't soak up any iodine as it is shut down and doesn't need

any more. This leaves it for other functions in the body. However, as I

said it does cause fatigue, and I can feel a tightness in my thyroid area

for the first few days I'm on it. I have wondered about this fatigue, and

have even tried adding selenium in case it is related to the release of

mercury, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
