Guest guest
Yes, Sheila and I think that's why I get on better with it than NAE. BUT and the big but is that it is expensive. However, I am VERY lucky as I am able to get trade prices as I am a therapist (when working). I wonder if I would be able to help the forum here in any way - just a thought ...... luv Keri you say that Dynamite Adrenal contains some good stuff Keri - you can say that again
Guest guest
Hi Hans, I have just found another medical supplier for you: Allergy Research Group Dr 's Dynamite Adrenal 300 grams - $42.97 But this stated price of $42.97 does not include customs fees, taxes and tariffs. If I remember correctly there are some other members on this group who also order products from the USA, who in turn should be able to give you some useful advice in terms of custom fees, taxes and tariffs, so I would be most grateful if those members would also give some feedback to Hans on this same subject matter. Based on the work of Dr. , this formula combines the important nutrients for optimal adrenal function: adrenal and other glandulars, herbs, amino acids, vitamins and minerals.*.... http://store.agoodvitamin.com/alregrdrwidy.html Outside the United States: Please email us at admin@... for a shipping quote and estimated delivery date. Guest guest
Hi Sheila Thanks for asking Bob, it was kind of you. And thank you too, Bob, for yor input! :-) Well, a big clue for me is that I had similar symptoms when I was on dothiepin, as i did to when i was on the glandulars. Dothiepin apparently prevents the reuptake of noradrenaline (and serotonin). and has an antagonistic effect on Alpha1 adrenergic receptors, but I looked this alpha 1 thing up on wikipedia, seems that it's more a phsyical thing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha-1_adrenergic_receptor So, that makes me wonder about the noradrenaline. Trusty wikipedia says this about noradrenaline: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noradrenaline " As a stress hormone, norepinephrine affects parts of the brain where attention and responding actions are controlled. Along with epinephrine, norepinephrine also underlies the fight-or-flight response, directly increasing heart rate, triggering the release of glucose from energy stores, and increasing blood flow to skeletal muscle. " well it's not clear to me which hormone is affecting me here though a few of the things noradrenaline controls there indicate it could be a problem but i think adrenaline also has a lot to do with stress reactions. I think the 'flashback' thing is a form of fight or flight anxiety, and that ties in with the rapid heartbeat. My money is on the nor/adrenaline. but also I did try Adrenal Rebuilder, and this had various things in it like hypothalamus and pituitary extract - maybe that triggered something too. Although not many people report this 'side effect', I have now encountered a couple of people who've had the same problem, and it went away for them when they stopped the glandular, just like it did for me, and also like it did when i stopped dothiepin. Maybe i just had too much noradrenaline or adrenaline on the glandulars or dothiepin: perhaps after too much stress my brain receptors are just oversensitive making me hypervigilant (wouldn't surprise me). It's the only explanation i can come up with: I have been on HC for a few months now, no problems at all with that. It's only the glandulars that seem to affect me. Years ago, I used to take amitryptiline, which is another tricyclic (and works in a similar way to dothiepin). But I didn't get these side effects though a) amitryptiline is really strong and it was like i'd been shot with an elephant gun (so i could barely think let alone remember), and i was a lot younger then so had less bad memories to call on, c) I think dothiepin is more stimulating than amitryptiline is. It just seems that for whatever reason I'm unable to tolerate the glandulars. Some years ago I went on prozac (before dothiepin), i do think that may have caused some damage somewhere or altered brain function. Mind you i never felt the same after being on amitryptiline, either... Thanks Chris
Guest guest
I am naughty and I am not taking glandulars, just HC . I am afraid of the anxiety I get on glandulars and cannot afford to import the juice I used to use from the US as well as the expense of the HC and Armour. If I don't get enough HC a clue is I go into derealization which is horrible. Like living in a nightmare, so, either Armour doesnt suit and I am compensating for something with the hc that makes the armour ok. Or I am very deficient in hc and any adrenalin/noradrenalin sends me totally spaced out. The problem is I am also physiologically hooked on Seroxat, I cannot get off it. So I have a problem too hon. I do hope you manage to sort yours. lotsa luv Dawnx
