I knew when I said that I would get a response like this. It is absolutely,

100% not true that distilled water is not healthy to drink. Any kind of

water is not a good source of minerals, so the lack of minerals in distilled

water does not hurt your mineral intake. I am very involved in the distilled

water industry and know what's being said about distilled water all over the

net. Let's just agree that there are two sides to everything, and there are

just as many people raving about what distilled water has done for their

health as there are people who say it causes x,y, and z.

Regarding carbon filters, alongside everything else it doesn't get rid of,

it doesn't get rid of fluoride which should not be ingested. Carbon filtered

water is NOT a good option for people who are drinking a ton of water each

day.

Have a blessed day!

That is absolutely true. I live on a horse ranch and have a private well, so no

fluoride or chlorine here. I'm glad you found what works for you.

Amber,

I'm not sure if you've had your well water tested, but just wanted to let

you know (if you didn't) that fluoride is found naturally in water,

including well water. http://www.groundwater.org/gi/well_testing.html

Have a blessed day!

There are two types of fluoride: Calcium fluoride the natural type from the

ground, this is the beneficial fluoride, and sodium fluoride which is an

industrial waste from Aluminum and Fertilizer plants, this is the stuff they put

in

tooth paste and the water, toxic stuff. Look it up on the web sites.

Like most things, it depends on who you ask. Calcium fluoride is safer, not

safe. And it's even safer for people who drink very little water, which is

most people. If you are drinking a lot of water, it is not good for you over

time. The MSDS for calcium fluoride states this as well.

Shefy,

I believe strongly in drinking distilled water. I distill my water at home,

guaranteeing that it is real, 100% distilled water. I've bought bottled

distilled water before that did not even taste the same, so I wonder. It's

important to note also, that water being sold from one state to another is

NOT regulated at all. What it says on the bottle may not be what's inside.

It is possible (it's happened) that your bottled water is nothing but

bottled tap water. You will read all sorts of things on-line about why

such-and-such water is better than X. At the end of the day, you have to use

your common sense and gut instinct and then go with it.

Have a blessed day!

Evie, can you recommend a reasonably priced water distiller for

residential use that is not constructed of plastic in unsafe forms.

I have looked a number of times but I keep getting sidetracked by

all the 'Distilled water is not good for you' naysayers.

I agree with you. I don't want to get my vitamins and minerals from

sources that may be contaminated. Also, my thyroid condition, of

over 20 years, has never improved except when I got rid of the

fluoride from my water.

What brand and model do you use?

Thanks for any advice,
