Hi Sabina,

I also said goodbye to my gallbladder back in February of '06.

I am fairly sure that the bile drips into the smaller intestine as it

did before,

am sure it's not the colon or large intestine, as the bile is helpful in

digesting

fats. I have not made a study of it, but DO know that the bile does

drip pretty

consistently. The overall amount of bile released adjusts itself to your

eating habits. For me, I'm thankful to say that it has not lead to some of

the things that you hear about, like constant diarrhea, etc., but I also

take

my probiotics, digestive enzymes, and when needed, slippery elm.

The " signal " you are referring to was not to the liver, but to the

gallbladder

to release. The body does have amazing ways of adapting, though, would

be interested in knowing if anyone has found good information on the bodies

physiology after surgery.

I do notice that I can eat MANY MANY more foods than I used to, but my

gallbladder was SO bad by the time it was removed, that I was hardly able

to eat anything. When it comes to greasy animal fat foods, I do feel

that a bit.

I shared my gallbladder cleanse stories at my website while I was doing

them,

did them successfully for about 20 years...also the story about having

it removed.
