Hi,

So glad I received an GB groups e-mail since it's the only way I know how to

get a message out.

Well, my GB attacks have started again after almost a year. They are not

painful so much as discomfort. They usually come in the evenings after a meal,

pressure and fullness that some decribed as heart-related symtoms. Does this

sound familiar to anyone? The attacks don't last too long and I find that the

position of my body can curtail their longevity. Usually sitting upright, head

forward a little helps. All day today there was an ache in the center of my back

and, also, tenderness under the right ribs. I find that during the more sever

attacks taking a mild tranquilzer stops the GB from spazaming. Attacks

commence about an hour or two after eating, sometimes sooner and the later I eat

the

more severe the symptoms.

Had planned to do a flush today, but put it off for a day that I'm not being

too active. Question is: Is this the right time for a flush when the attacks

have escalated?

Fact is, I think my GB is clogged up right now. I know I've had a stone for a

few years. Past flushes have helped (3) total. I find that drinking

grapefruit juice during an attack also helps.

Any advice for this stage of attacks would be appreciated (Enter: Dave). I

plan to visit the curezone.com after writing this to bring myself up-to-date.

Thanks to all who reply.

Regards,

Fran

Jess and Amber,

Thanks for yours. Yes, I could be watching my diet a little better for, I

believe, that's the culprit here. Last night I ate and it wasn't too bad of an

attack. Because of the kink in my back, I got into my electric massage chair and

I think it helped to move the stone or congestion in the GB... followed by

another brief attack. I watch my diet, but when feeling better... get away from

it and now the cumulative result are these attacks.

Do you guys continue to flush for removal of stones on top of dietary

considerations? Or does the diet watch regulate stone production and faciliatate

the

periodic expulsion of stones?

Yes, Jess, am aware of Xango...

Thanks again... feeling better this morning and the kink in my back has

subsided.

Regards,

Fran

That's pretty much my story, too. My only GB attack was March 12, 2006. Dr.

wanted me to have surgery but I said I was going to go home and do some

research. I still have my GB. No further attacks. Doing well. Except that

I've gained 8 pounds from eating more carbs and less protein in the form of meat

and eggs. I've read that " we " aren't supposed to eat much meat or eggs. So I'm

working on losing those few pounds.

Amber

My last gallstone attack brought me to the hospital for 14 days, because of

jaundice - my eyes and skin turned yellow. That was last March, 2006. I was

scheduled for operation, or removal of my gall bladder last May 23, 2006, but I

cancelled it. I still have my gall bladder, and had never been attacked by

gallstone since then. .

Hi Francis,

Definitely alright to do a flush when in discomfort. You just need to

watch and make sure that something doesn't get stuck (extremely rare). You will

know it. plenty of magnesium to make sure you relax the duct. If the

grapefruit juice helps it may be from the acids so picking up a malic acid

supplement now and taking it until you are able to do the flush might help all

around. Good luck my brother. -Dave

After my attack, I read everything I could about GB as I knew nothing. I ended

up doing 3 flushes. First was a 9 day which I have published here before. Then

I did two 3-day flushes a few months apart. After the first flush, I started

passing stones every day, at least 4 of them. Most were yellow but a few were

green. They started out the size of hominy and eventually the size of corn

kernels. However, I passed a few that were 1/2 inch and some were 3/4 inch. I

continued to pass them every day for close to a year! Now I pass them about

twice a week and from one to three or four only. I have stayed away from meat

and eggs. If I cook a steak for my husband, I may have 3-4 tiny, tiny bites. I

found I could eat an organic egg but I only do that very rarely. However, when

I make homemade custard (baked in the oven), the egg doesn't bother me. I

haven't done any more flushes and am not sure I'll do any more. I do take A-F

Betafood tablets from Standard Process Labs every day and plan to continue. Dr.

Bruce West says he knows a surgeon who has stopped doing 95% of his gallbladder

surgeries since putting his patients on this stuff. That's good enough for me.

Feel much better today having watched what I ate. I now take the

previously-discussed Mona Vie product (acai). I'm wondering how that product

fairs with

the Xango,,, or are they two entirely different species. Hmmm... Dave, maybe you

can shed some light here, I mean, if the Mona Vie suits a similar purpose to

the Xango, well, why not just stick with it. Pr is the Mona Vie a Xango plus

some? I'll definitely look further into the Xango, tho.

Thanks,

Fran

Franniboy:

Drinking regularly of the apple juice and the mangosteen juice is like

flushing, too, because it immediately let's you feel going to the bathroom after

drinking them. I mean, I've not done any real flushing yet as regularly

discussed in this board. All that I've been doing was careful or responsible

eating. Evading from fatty and oily foods really greatly helped a lot.

If anyone is having GB attacks, a strong word of advice, please start taking

magnesium extremely regularly. You might try Jigsaw Health, because it's

slow release (lasts 12 hours) and will keep you throughout the day until you

take your next dose. Everyone who has GB problems needs magnesium, as it's the

thing most people on the US (and the world) is deficient of. You'd be

surprised what all it can do. It's like the " King " that controls many, many

functions.

I went on a very strict diet during my GB problems and went from 121 to 106

lbs. This is because I cut out all meats/dairy as well as breads/grains. I

have since added grains and sugars (too much) and have not gained any back

even though it's been over a month. I still don't eat meat, but I do drink

raw milk and eat free range eggs from our local farm.

My father and all his siblings have had their gall bladders removed. I've

never been overweight, but I had my first attack at the end of my first

pregnancy 6 years ago. They didn't find any stones, so wrote it off. 10

months later I went through another pregnancy with no problems. But a few

months ago, the same pain returned and just got worse. There were no stones

on ultrasound, no stones w/ CAT scan (there appeared to be no function at

all; they gave me morphine and still no activity in the gall bladder). When

I spoke with the surgeon, he said it's possible that I had a stone at one

time, which scarred the opening of the gall bladder, which allowed nothing

to get in or out of the gall bladder.

I realized later, that when I was in labor with my 1st, the doctor said,

" Have you ever had any type of surgery? Because you appear to have some scar

tissue on your cervix that is preventing it from dilating. " It did end up

dilating from 0-8 cm within 45 mins. after an epidural. But can these be

related? I have wondered if I have some sort of disorder that is affecting

two different parts of the body. If anyone has any clues, I'd love to hear

them.

Have a blessed day!

hi susie,

i heard of this as well. i even took it myself for a short time, i think it

helps by 'getting things moving'... however, my doctor tested the levels twice

and they were normal. does it mean i shouldn't be taking it or....?

i think you can be getting too much magnesium right, like there has to be a

limit. also i heard your bowel movements can become dependent on it...

hope all is well

Hi, Shefy:

The problem with checking magnesium levels is that it's usually just your

blood level. Your blood level can be okay, but it has to be in your cells too.

So blood can appear okay, but the other can be extremely low. About the

only way to do that is biopsy. And being too low can hurt your GB, cause

gallstones, hurt your liver, heart, cause migraines, depression and many other

things. I have some good references to start searching for this. There's a

book that I want called " The Magnesium Factor. " I don't have it yet, but it

truly looks to be good. I have my references on another screen name. I'll

look

later and get them for you. It's a lot of reading.
