Guest guest
It's not the surgery, but the EFFECTS of the surgery! If you're dropping weight very fast, you're likely in dietary ketosis, and this can cause bad body odor and bad breath. Be sure you're getting enough calories (generally, 1200-1500 for most ewomen less than 300-350 # and about 1800-200 or so for those heavier. Also, try using an anti-bacterial soap, as bacteria on the skin is a big cause of body odor. And Breath Assure tablets or parley tabs from a vitamin store will help a lot with ant bad breath. Well, it probably does MEAN something, but just because it started recently doesn't MEAN that it has anything to do with being banded. Ask your band doctor. And also ask your regular doc to check things out. It is certainly possible you have some sort of infection or other problem in that area. dan -- Dan Lester, Boise, ID honu@... www.mylapband.tk Dr. Ortiz, Tijuana, 4/28/03 323/209/199 Age 63 The road goes on forever..... Guest guest
hi, it could also be age related and just coincidentally the surgery happened at the same time. i don't know how old you are but all the bandsters i have met are in those ages where our hormones have decided to have a life of their own. good luck! --------------------------------- All-new - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster.
