Guest guest
>>So this morning, I decided to see how long it took to dissolve (because the pills are pretty big, and fairly hard). How long SHOULD it take? After 20 minutes, it was still rock solid on the inside, but it did eventually break down into a powder (I stopped checking, so don't know how long this took). Our regular vitamins are well-known for their solubility, so it's never been a concern until now. Anyone know about this? Hi, Evie: I have no idea because I've never tried to dissolve my mg malate from Jigsaw Health at all. Ours are a sustained release (to last 12 hours) specifically formulated and chelated that I know of. This is because Albion Research has the only true chelated vitamins available and has the ONLY patent on them that I know of, which they can prove it. Others may say chelated, but are they? Albion can prove their method really does enter your body. Ready the FAQ section, and read below: _http://www.albion-an.com/q_and_a.html#wacm_ (http://www.albion-an.com/q_and_a.html#wacm) _Albion Home_ (http://www.albion-an.com/index.htm) How can you be sure that your bulk minerals are chelated? Patent #7,144,737 entitled “Process for Determining the Percent of Chelation in a Dry Mixture†was awarded to Albion on December 5, 2006. This patent uses FTIR technology to determine the presence of a chelate AND how much of the product is chelated. The FTIR technology is unique in the fact that it looks at the bonds present in the molecules to analyze for chelation. Several companies have tried to prove that their minerals are chelated based on observations of product characteristics such as solubility, particle size, etc. However, in many cases the characteristics they list as being proof of chelation could be easily imitated. Albion’s FT-IR method is a step forward in the mineral nutrition world because no one has previously been able to prove that what they are selling is chelated by looking at the actual molecule. Albion has conducted several bioavailability studies that show our products are superior to non-chelated samples. Others have tried to “ride on our coattails†by saying they also have chelates, so their products should perform like ours. Albion has shown that our products are superior in the field. With the development of this patented method which proves chelation, we now have evidence in a laboratory environment. As the world leader in mineral amino acid chelate technology, it is not surprising that Albion can say we are the first and only company in the world that can prove, by looking at the actual molecular bonds, that what we say is true! ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
I've searched the archives, but couldn't find this answer. I went to Whole Foods yesterday, and thinking they closed at 6 instead of 5, I only had 10 minutes to shop. So I quickly grabbed the one magnesium malate I could locate and figured it would do. Guest guest
I just weighed one cup of the Nigari Flakes and they come out to 5 ozs per cupful which should make 16 magnesium baths per 5lb bag, not 10 baths as I said before. Took my 1st bath today, darn hot water ran out on me before filling the tub so didn't get it as hot as I'd liked. Very relaxing bath. Thx Daddybob for telling us about this. Guest guest
We got tired of hot water running out, and got a Takagi. Not only do we have hot water 24/7 continuously, at several temperatures of our choosing, it also lowered the gas bill by 60% for the hot water in the house. Plus, we can fill the hot tub and pool with warm water! Kathy
