Guest guest
Hi Chere, I'm sorry I can't help with the Flaxoil and Cottage cheese recipe. However I believe you will find a lot of helpful information if you begin searching Phytochemicals and Nutritional Supplements containing Phytochemicals. Guest guest
Everyone on this list should read Dr. Joanna Budwig's book on Flax. Its the reason why we all use it. Guest guest
Chere, This is the info. sent to me. I found it very informatative. ....bright moments. Flax oil and flaxseed oil are one and the same.one tablespoon per 100 lbs body weight is pretty standard.my husband puts his in a drink he makesc every morning,it pretty much masks the taste.you need cottage cheese to consume with the flax oil for the sulferated protein, which makes it more anti-tumoral. pjbit. Thanks , I had not heard of adding amaranth to flax oil, but it might be worth a look. Nevertheless I retain a healthy skepticism that threre goes the food processors again adding " stabilizers " or other hi tech fixes to fool mother nature yet again. Although I believe amaranth is one of the more natural products, but I haven't had any experience with it. I would be interested and I've long admired your adherence to a more natural-whole foods approach to cancer. Best always, Arnold Hi Arnold, This was a very good post. Thank you. Are you familiar with the effects of adding amaranth oil, high in squalenes, which have noteworthy antioxident ability, at the point of manufacture of the flax seed oil? I used to use Barlene's until I found the Master Oil Blend, a combination of flax seed and amaranth oils, including some sunflower, borage and kukui oils. This stabilized the flax seed oil, much in the same way that Vit E would stabilize it, but adds the antioxident properties of the amaranth oil. I'd love to tell you more if you are interested. Guest guest
Chere, from all I have studied about it, it is important to blend the Sulfured Proteine (Cottage Cheese) well with the Organic Cold Pressed Flax Seed Oil. " the blending is what converts it to the valuable Interferon that boosts the immune system and accordingly makes Vitamin 'F' which also becomes an oxygen carrier to the starving cells. " After it is blended well you can add fruit, or chopped chives or any veggies to make a salad. As stated here some time ago, I knew a Wholistic Vetenerian who only used the Cottage Cheese blended with the Oil to heal Cancer in animals over a 50 year period, using Dr. Budwigs advice. (1/2 cup cottage cheese to 1 Tablespoon per 100 lbs of Body Weight...it blends well when you visualize it shrinking cancer tumors and rebuilding tissues). I have been using it for two years now and all of my lesions I had at the onset of my Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma (bone marrow cancer) have healed. I used Many different Alternative modalities to get here. I am not in remission yet, but plan on getting there. I did take some light radiation treatments, but have declined and will continue to decline Chemo. My Onolologist wanted to start me on it two years ago and not even give me a chance to heal myself but he finally saw my determination and just monotors me.I keep hearing, in my head, a resounding of " PHYSICIAN, HEAL YOURSELF! " and so it is. Liz At 01:29 AM 01/28/2000 EST, you wrote: >Hello, I have been giving my mother flax oil and cottage cheeses. Needles to >say the mixture tastes terrible. If she > takes her flax oil first and then eats the cottage cheese that would that be > beneficial > Chere Z Chere and others: Here is info that tells how to make Flax Oil taste WONDERFUL !!! Give this info and the PERFECT BREAKFAST RECIPE to your friends. ******* Taken from my web site http://cures for cancer.evangelist.net ******* Flax Seed and Linseed Oil I have been using flax seed and linseed oil in our diet , and love its effect. My daily breakfast is the " perfect breakfast " below, and it is both filling and nutritious. Believe me, unless you are very weird, you will love it too. I always have about a teaspoon of MSM at breakfast and half a teaspoon of vitamin C powder with water right after breakfast. This adds even more of the vital nutritional sulfur that helps the linseed oil to work its magic. Flax seed and Linseed are one and the same. Dr Johanna Budwig of Germany made profound discoveries about its nutritional value and ability to diminish or cure degenerative diseases like cancer, hodgkins disease, carcinoma, osteoma, and artheriosclerosis when taken with high-quality sulfur-based protein as a normal part of the diet. Flax oil, containing essential fatty acids, makes your cell membranes healthier and more attractive to oxygen. It lowers cholesterol and triglycerides, helps lower high blood pressure and it's used in the treatment of Cancer. Dr. Budwig documented over 1,000 cases of successful cancer treatment using this oil. It helps with diabetes and blood sugar regulation, is used in the treatment of arthritis and it helps relieve asthma, improves skin health, treats eczema and psoriasis and is useful in PMS, allergies, inflammations and athletic recovery. It even helps the body detoxify because of its oxygenating effects. Maintenance dose: 1 Tablespoon per day. For more info., see Johanna Budwig's Flax Oil, and Fats that Heal, by Udo Erasmus or The Fats and Oils Story by Finnegan, all at your local health stores. The cancer-fighting properties of Flax Oil in Combination with Sulphurated Protein has been demonstrated. In 1931 Warburg demonstrated that essential fatty acids were absolutely necessary for the body to heal " fatty degeneration of cells. If you can't find it call Barleans at 800-445-3529 or Omega Nutrition at 1-800-661-3529 The edible polyunsaturated oil from flax seed is the highest vegetable source of linoleic (omega 6) and linolenic (omega 3) acids, both " essential " fatty acids the body absolutely requires from outside sources. These acids are required for proper cell metabolism AND to emulsify cholesterol and fats in the blood stream so as to prevent accumulation on artery walls. They are also needed to transport oxygen to the cells and to prevent bacterial infections. Their slightly negative charge regulates the heart beat and helps move toxins to the organs that process and excrete them. They control chromosomes during cell division and are vital to the formation of healthy cells. Insufficient essential fatty acids are a major contributor to cancer and other diseases such as heart failure, clogged arteries, degenerated liver and kidneys, hair and vision loss, arthritis, poor circulation, dryness of mucous membranes, infertility and miscarriages. You need essential fatty acids in your diet, about 30 grams a day with at least 500 IU of vitamin E, plus A (use beta carotene), C, B3, B6, and zinc. You get two or three essential fatty acids, all the needed amino acids, plus vitamins A, D, E, B1, B2, and C, plus all the major minerals, plus fiber and mucilage from flax seed like this: Buy only cold pressed unrefined linseed oil. Look for it in the cooler at the health food or vitamin store. Get a big bottle because you will be using it the rest of your life. It does not keep long, even refrigerated (about 3 weeks), unless it is frozen. Mix Basic Linseed Cream (homogenize in a blender) 1 tablespoon Linseed oil per 100 pounds of body weight with ½ to 1 cup of low fat cottage cheese. Eat the basic linseed goop in one form or another daily. That is all you need to do. To make it fun and enjoyable, try these recipes: ********** PERFECT BREAKFAST RECIPE ********** - layer in a deep bowl: 2 Tablespoons ground flax seed drizzled with a little honey to taste Handful of chopped fruit (peaches, blueberries, etc), 3 or 4 heaping tablespoons of chopped nuts (pecan, walnut, almond, absolutely NO peanuts), The Basic Linseed Cream, modified as follows. Make the cream as indicated above, but blend in 3 tablespoons of low-fat milk, 1 Tablespoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (or other flavoring ***** I promise you will LOVE the above perfect breakfast ***** Variety Breakfast - to the Basic Linseed Cream, blend in bananas, lemon/orange juice (2 to 1), coconut, carob powder, or your favorite fresh fruit juice. Linseed salad - To the Basic Linseed Cream stir in shredded carrot, shredded cucumber, chopped tomatoes, and herbs. Green Goddess Salad Dressing - into the Basic Linseed Cream blend minced cucumbers, spinach, parsley, and dill. Linseed Butter - simmer a mashed garlic clove and quartered medium onion dill clear (not brown) in 8 oz coconut oil, discard onion and garlic, let oil cool, stir into " frozen " 100 grams (about a cup and a half) linseed oil, blend thoroughly, and put in freezer to harden. Makes a nutritious butter spread. Read more about this in How to Fight Cancer and Win by Dr L. Fischer, Fischer Publishing Corporation, Canfield, OH 44406, ISBN 0-915421-07-0. This is an excellent book about what cancer is, how it is encouraged by the wrong dietary fats, and both traditional and alternative treatments. It was published in 1987, so it does not mention some of the more recent discoveries. Special note: One nutritionist, Jim Lane, suggested cancer patients take 8 tablespoons per day of barley and flaxseed mixed in with Alta Dena cottage cheese to eliminate tumors. After the tumor is gone, switch to 4 tablespoons a day. ***** bobhurt@... ***** Bob Hurt 2460 Persian Drive 70 Clearwater, FL 33770 (727) 669-0107, Mobile (727) 424-5412 ***** http://www.bobhurt.com *****
Guest guest
Chere-- Here's a tastier sounding flax oil recipe that submitted to this list a while ago. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Dosage: The recommended dosage for health maintenance is 1 tablespoon of Flax oil to 1/4 cup cottage cheese per 100 pounds body weight. In her book, Dr. Budwig says she uses 3 tablespoons of oil a day and sometimes up to 6 for people very seriously ill. These dosages are just suggestions and in no way constitute medical advice. For more information we suggest reading Dr. Budwig's books. Dosage for Pets: A number of folks have written to us saying their dogs, up to 40 lbs. have recovered using 1 tablespoon of oil to 1/4 cut cottage cheese. We have little information on animals larger than that. Our Cocker Spaniel has shown a marked decrease in her breast tumors using this dosage in 2 weeks. I don't like cottage cheese and/or It makes me sick: Cottage cheese contains sulferated proteins which are needed for the successful metabolism of the Flax Oil. If you cannot tolerate the cheese you can use EFA Companion Nutrients available from Nature's Distributors. Some people have reported good results using plain yogurt, though you need to use 3 times the quantity. What Product Should I get? Be sure the oil you purchase is cold pressed, ie. never heated in the processing. Make sure the oil is refrigerated or frozen as much as possible. Heat of any kind destroys the value of the oil. We do not recommend the capsules as it takes approx. 14 of them to equal one tablespoon of oil and because they are often stored on warm shelves for periods of time. I Don't Like the Oily Taste! Try a high lignin oil and shake well before use. To me it tastes like hazel nuts. Of course if it tastes rancid or really bad then it probably is and you shouldn't use it. There are a number of things you can try to make the oil more palatable. 1. Try taking your oil and immediately follow it with a glass of juice, then eat your cheese. 2. Mix oil, cottage cheese, pineapple and a bit of honey in a dish; let sit for 15 minutes and eat. You should taste no oil. 3. Mix oil, cheese and ice cream in a blender. Add some chocolate syrup or fruit and blend. Makes a really good milk shake. If your weight conscious substitute a can of Ultra Slim fast instead of the goodies. One man wrote to us and said he blends the oil and cheese with buttermilk and finds it quite tasty. 4. The following is from an email we received recently. Though a bit more involved, this is an excellent drink indeed! FYI, I have come across a great way to enjoy the flax and cottage cheese. (Some people like the taste of the mixture--I don't! So, I came up with this smoothie recipe that is both tasty and full of flax.) Cherry Power Smoothie 1/2 cup grape juice 1/2 cup cherry juice (opt) 1 1/2 cups frozen, dark cherries 1 banana, cut up 1 cup plain, nonfat yogurt 1/2 cup cottage cheese 1/4 cup ground flaxseed 2 tbl raw wheat germ 2-4 tbl flaxseed oil 1-2 tbl honey Put everything in a blender, blend 2 minutes. Makes 2 tall glasses. This comes together in a matter of minutes and is great for lunch. But Watch Out-- It's Addictive!!! :-) Take Care....... Guest guest
Hi, I think any good news should be spread as far as possible. This is one of the most dramatic evidences that I have seen concerning the power of Omega 3. This dog was being given the equivalent of 9 tablespoons per day of flaxseed oil for a 165 pound man. flax oil Dear Mr. Beckwith, My dog , Shilo was diagnosed with Myelogenous Leukemia with supression of red blood cells and platelet production on 3/18/99. The U.OFM. in ST. which is one of the best vet hospitables in the country did a bone marrow on Shilo who is only 3 and half years old and a CBC and found cancer cells alot in his blood . All they could offer was to put him on Predizone and by him a little time. Depressed and very sad I went on the Inernet and with the help of GOD I found your page on Flax OIL and read the testimonials. The next day I started Shilo on Flax Oil and cottage Cheese 3 Table spoons a day and right away I started seeing results. Four days later I took him back to the Vets and they did a CBC Blood test and they were amazed and didn't understand why his white count was normal { after having hardly any white blood cells at all} his Platelets were clotting normal. and he was producing red blood cells at a fast rate. The Veternarians were baffled. They also could not find one Cancer cell in his blood !! Besides The Flax Oil I have him on vitamin C, E, Geinstein, and a multi vitamin for dogs to help his Immune systym I know in my heart the thing that really made the differance was the Flax seed OIL. Shilo weighs 56 pounds and is a Golden Retriever. I will be seeing the vet in another week for a blood test and I know it will come out cancer free. Shilo is feeling great and acting like a normal dog and 10 days ago he had a 106 temp and dying. Bless You Mr. Beckwith ,Shirley, and Ms. Bud Wig!! Please right back to me God Bless, Kirk Heckel , and Tim Brown.

Guest guest
Yes you must mix the flax oil w/cottage cheese (low cal is ok). It is this combo that forms the cancer fighting element. Barlean's is regarded as the purest and freshest oil. Get the High lignan type. If you tell them you are a cancer patient they sell you wholesale. Use about 2 tbl spoons for each 100 lbs of your weight if fighting cancer to each cup of cottage cheese (1 tbl spoon if for prevention). The direct # for Barlean's is 800-445-3529 (w. coast). Best, JR PS.. I mix mine with equal amount of Dannon low-cal plain yogurt. Sometimes put in low cal pineapple or peach chuncks. Hi to everyone in this group. Guest guest
Dear , To be fully utilized the flax oil must be mixed with a sulfur based protein, the best source of which is cottage cheese. I have thought of Tofu and saw that recommended over five years ago, but evidence I have seen lately has changed my mind to the extent that I am going to let that alone. If one is allergic to Cottage Cheese it might be worth a gamble. Cliff B Flax oil >Hi to everyone in this group. Guest guest
Hi, Any testimonials I have are of necessity Anecdotal. There are no possibility of anything else. They are things I know of personally, but have no scientific confirmation. I know of two situations. One was a teacher friend who taught for quite a while in the school where I was a counselor. He bought my home when we moved to Tennessee. He was diagnosed with esophagal cancer when he rather suddenly found he could no longer swallow much. He was given two to four months at most. He used the flax oil and cottage cheese but had trouble swallowing it and didn't work at getting it down as much as I felt he should have. Nevertheless the condition was arrested and he seemed to be getting along reasonably well. The medical people, of course, pooh poohed that idea and eventually he gave in and a feeding tube was installed. That was the end of his efforts and he died. He did live for 22 months longer than the doctors felt possible. In the second case, a man in our town had very serious cancer. One lung had been removed at Vanderbilt medical center in Nashville, TN. A cancerous tumor had wrapped around his esophagous and he had all the radiation the doctors believed he could stand. It was still growing and was constricting his esophagous to the point where his voice was " squeaky " . As a last resort he began using flax oil and cottage cheese and there was fairly immediate change. It got to the point where the cancer appeared to be gone. I remember speaking at a local senior citizen's gathering and his aunt described it as a miracle. He was again living a normal life. However, he was quite " close " with money and he could see no point in buying flax oil when he was " well " . In time the cancer returned. He would not continue to use the oil and died. He did live much longer than believed possible by the doctors. In both these cases I wonder today if they could both still be living if someone with medical " authority " really could have believed in the process and directed it. Guest guest
Carol, How do you know the Flax Oil you take is fresh ? What color is the Flax Oil you take? What is the Brand? Flax oil should be dark brown. It should be " high lignan " flax oil, made by the " omegafow " process. The lignans usually sink to the bottom of the bottle and have to be broken up with a chopstick and stirred thoroughly and shaken to dissolve. Then it should be dark brown. Flax oil is very unstable and should be refrigerated at ALL times. When it is sold it should be in the refrigerated section of the health food store. it cannot be used to cook in. Guest guest
Arnold Gore Thanks for the info on Flax Seed Oil. I am aware how fragile flax seed oil is. I buy it in the refrigerated section of the health food store. It is dated and I use within 6 weeks. Arrowhead Mills is the brand and according to the label it is organically produced with the fresh pressed omegaflo process. HOWEVER, it is more yellow or amber in color NOT DARK BROWN and does not appear to contain anything solid. WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT. Guest guest
hi folks, my acupuncturist and his nutritionist wife recommend Jarrow - word on the street is that it is the least contaminated/mixed with other things - and is the cheapest. I've been using it for a couple of years now with good results. Judith
Guest guest
How do you use this? My doctor recommended flax seed for my high cholesterol but I really don't want to eat ground up seed on cereal as she suggested. Any thoughts? I really do not know but vaguely remember reading something on a site from Udo Erasmus (I think that was the name) that one is supposed to balance the oils. Does anyone have info on this? Guest guest
<< It is so expensive and I want to make sure I use at least most of it before it goes bad >> Rhonda, I use the Barlean Flax Oil and it does not say that at all. It says keep refridgerated and freezing will prolong it up to one year. Christel
