Guest guest
Despite rumors to the contrary: I spoke with Dr. Kuri today, he IS coming to Seattle Splash, with Jomi, one of his staff members. We are planning a Kuri Patient Party either Friday evening or Saturday afternoon, depending on Dr. K's (undetermined) arrival time. He is excited about coming to Seattle again and seeing his many-many area patients! The list of other band docs, surgeons, weight-loss professionals, etc., and the agenda, will be published later next week. Lots of interesting folks, lots to learn, fun to play, bring your swim suit for the hot tub and swim party (splash!), bring your fancy duds for the evening dinner dance, come have your photos taken professionally, come let your hair down and share with fellow bandsters and prospective bandsters. So sign up, tell your friends and join us at Seattle Splash: http://barbooch2. homestead. com/SeattleBands terSplash2008. html On the website is a poster you can print out to share with other bandsters and prospective bandsters. PS to and all who asked: the registration fee of $125 (until Feb. 1, then $150) covers Friday night party (not dinner), Saturday buffet lunch & banquet dinner, all sessions, parties, fun! We have lots planned, it will be a Splashy Bash! G. in Seattle C-)
Guest guest
I'm SO glad he is able to come now!! Lots of us asked him too.. I'm really looking forward to meeting many of you! Bashes are always a wonderful, inspirational, motivationsl, and FUN thing, and everyon should go to at least one bash. I was very lucky to meet a very neat guy at my second Bash in 2004 (he was in the hspital being banded at my first bash, and we had communicated already) . We talked a lot, started to get to know each other a bit, and have become good freinds since then. the guy is Dan Lester, our board owner. :-) and his wife Gail is a sweetheart too. This is a good example of the wonderful bandster friendships that can start at Bashes and other support groups. Bashes are especially great for new people to get them inspired, and for anyone struggling, to get them RE-inspired. I've heard people say they are hesitant to come since they are maybe not doing as well as they had hoped . By cominbg, they will see we ALL struggle sometimes, and they will ,learn the tips and tricks that have helped others get back on track. Please come! I will be taking part in several things, and as always have small 'trouble-shooting " groups for anyone needing personal help. Guest guest
seajoan, don't you think your comments would have been better handled privately? Showing up Sandy on this board is just nasty!!!! your intentions are obvious. whatever you've got going on, embarrassing Sandy here is reprehensible. george > > > > > > Despite rumors to the contrary: > > > I spoke with Dr. Kuri today, he IS coming to Seattle Splash, with > > Jomi, one of his staff members. > > > > > > We are planning a Kuri Patient Party either Friday evening or > > Saturday afternoon, depending on Dr. K's (undetermined) arrival > time. > > He is excited about coming to Seattle again and seeing his many- > many > > area patients! > > > > > > The > > > list of other band docs, surgeons, weight-loss professionals, > etc., > > and > > > the agenda, will be published later next week.
