Guest guest
Hi , look at: http://www.tpa-uk.org.uk/basaltemptest.pdf for info. It says to do it during your period because hormonal changes cause temps to rise slightly, only by a couple of points of a degree i think though so don't worry if you're not menustrating at the moment, will be still be useful to take temp! You basal temp should be more than 36.8C. Mine was 35.4C, now 36.2C so much improved and basal pulse used to be fourty- something. Rememeber the take them before doing anything and as soon as you wake up. Guest guest
Thanks so much for forwarding the basaltemtest. I did the test this morning: 35.9c & pulse was 84 at rest. However, I forgot to do it whilst still in bed so have to do the test correctly from tomorrow. I'm still feeling awful but that seem to be made worse as soon as I take my thyroid meds. I think I might be taking too much so will reduce the dose for abit. Got severe muscle cramps everywhere today that in itself is so exhausting. But hope to see Dr. P very soon (fingers crossed). Hopefully he will get to the bottom of everything. Thanks again for your support. Take care. x > Hi , look at: http://www.tpa-uk.org.uk/basaltemptest.pdf for > info. Guest guest
>Hi Jane, I think it depends on your age. Mine is usually around the same as yours. Never really lower than 70. My Dr. seem to think that's ok. I'm 47. Don't worry, I'm sure it's fine. Guest guest
HI You might be getting this problem with such awful symptoms because your adrenals are so shot they are literally unable to cope with any form of thyroid hormone replacement. You are right in cutting it back. It might be worth even cutting your thyroid hormone replacement out altogether for a good week as this would put less strain on your adrenals, helping them to get boosted before starting your hormone replacement again. I used to get these dreadful debilitating pains before I started Armour. I was on l-thyroxine alone at that time and it was found I was not converting to the active hormone T3. It was a lack of T3 getting into my tissue that was causing my muscles to go into spasm. Hope you get an appointment soon. luv - Sheila Thanks so much for forwarding the basaltemtest.I did the test this morning: 35.9c & pulse was 84 at rest.
