was just diagnosed this week, and quite

frankly,
I'm confused. You see, two years ago I was

diagnosed, after many years of the symptoms, with

Fibromyalgia. And have been under a doctor's care for that. Not

long after that, I started having extremely irregular

menstrual cycles, and was treated (without suceess) for

that. Then in October of 97 I started losing weight

with the aid of a prescription. To date I have lost

80lb, but there are about 2 or 3 times a year that I

stop progressing and even gain a pound or two. My

weight has been an issue all of my adult life, my all

time high being #389. Now to come up to date, last

weekend I started hemoraging. My gyn gave me a shot and

yet more pills to stop the bleeding and I go back

4-26 for a biopsy and to most likely schedule a

hysterectomy. Then also last week my gp
diagnosed the

thyroid problem and started me on synthroid.
Now for

my confusion. I have been researching all three

problems this past week and have found that they all have

pretty much the same symptoms. I would of course like to

avoid major surgery if I can. And I certainly would not

be a happy camper if I had it and discovered it was

not the answer.
So at this point I just don't know

up from down or what is what. And I have never been

on so many medications in my life. I will end this

book for now. Any feedback would be deeply

appreciated.
Thanks, Kali
