Hello all,

you might remember my post from last week about still feeling awful

almost a year on from diagnosis. I have finally got my blood test

results from diagnosis in Aug 07 to Jan 08.

Aug free T4 8.7 TSH 19.15

Nov TSH 3.11

Jan TSH 2.30

Is it normal to only be tested for TSH (although they did test T4

the first time)? I was under the impression that you needed to

measure TSH, T4 and T3 to get the full picture. Because from what

I've read on this site and others my T4 might not be converting to T3

(am I right?).

I also had many other blood tests which I am working my way through

such as full blood count, bone profile and something called GFR which

I am not sure what it's for. Also had ferritin tested. It does not

appear that a test for adrenal function was done I pressume they

would be looking for cortisol levels. Also they do not seem to have

tested for hashimoto's, should that be routinely carried out on

diagnosis, or would it show up in a full blood count as they measure

white cells and lymphocytes.

After seeing my final TSH level I am starting to wonder if it's all

in my head!!! Well I am sure that's what my GP thinks.
