I have had this letter today with this tempting phrase at the top.

Evidently I'm being invited to stand as a public governor (subject to

election).

I am a member, they say, of the NHS Foundation Trust and have the

ability to vote for, or stand as a governer to represent the members in

my area.........

There is an address to write to for a nomination paper so I am

composing a letter even as I write this. I might have no chance of

getting on the governing board but I'm going to have a go, you never

know I may be able to kick some arses...
