Guest guest
Angie - when you see your doctor, make it absolutely clear that you now wish to be referred to a specialist in endocrinology as you are aware she is not - say it in the nicest possible ways. Make a list of all your syomptoms, your previous blood results, any other tests you have had done, list yhour signs (check on our website under hypothyroidism www.tpa-uk.org.uk . List your basal temperature for a week. Go to our files and look at the file "First visit to your endo" and use the information there on your GP. Your doctor is NOT making you well - this is why the NHS have specialists that you can be referred to. Be assertive, this is yhour life and you want it back. Luv - Sheila Re: My NPTech blood test results Hi Angel,I feel so awful at the moment I'm getting pretty desperate. I've had to suspend my PhD because I'm reaching the point of no return at the moment. I'm going to see my doctor tomorrow, but just don't know how to approach her. I'm not convinced that she has a great deal of knowledge in this area. Because my NPTech results are different to the NHS ones I had done a few weeks ago (although my FT4 was low on those ones as well but the reference range for those was stupidly low) I don't think she will even look at my NPTech ones. I really don't know what to do. Im going to brave it and see if I can get her to see that they are not normal. Do the antibodies not necessarily show up straight away with hashimoto's then? I always thought that they would be there if that was the problem.Angie xx> Hi Angie, your TPO may be negative but you could still have hashi`s.> your other tests are not normal T4/T3 tests are to low and your TSH test will not rise> very fact in the beginning so you are definitely compensating.= this is probably early> hashimoto`s disease =hypothyroidism.angel.> > > ---------------------------------> Sent from & #45; a smarter inbox.> No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Free Edition.
