Abbe, there is a good protocol for iodine supplementation by Bruce West (called

Iodine Fulfillment Therapy). You can find it in our files, here:

iodine/files/20%20Articles%20from%20Clinici\

ans/

People differ as to when you should take your first iodine loading test.

Ideally, you should take it before you start supplementing since it will tell

you (1) whether you need to supplement or not and (2) what your baseline level

is for future comparisons.

However, due to the cost and since 90% of the people who take it show up low in

iodine, many people start supplementing before taking the test.

Oops, I may be moving too fast.

I am no where near the 50 mg of Iodoral. Just got to

a point where I tolerate 12.5 mg and I am going to

increase today by half tablet to see what happens

before I move to two.

So, it seems I should wait until I get to four or 50

mg. for 4 months before doing the loading test.

I do not recall reading that in the instructions or in

Abraham's work.

But, I am sure glad I read it here because it seems it

would be a waste of money to do the test before that.

And, of course, money is an issue.

Did I get this right, Zoe

Thanks,

Abbe

Thanks, Zoe

The patch test I did initially, that is before even

ordering iodine was proof enough for me. At the time,

though, I did not know about the loading test.

I am going to read the protocol in the files. Thanks

for calling my attention to it. I am swamped in

information.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us, which

I have been paying close attention to.

Abbe
