Guest guest
I had a minor attack 2 nights ago (fatty food related) (no stones). I am still feeling pain. I am functional, but every few minutes I get a sharp pain and I feel like laying down. What can I take to help the pain subside? My Dr. said that I do not have any stones, just a defective GB. She recommended that I try diet to control the pain. She left it up to me to see if could maintain. I am really thinking surgery is the way to go. What are the alternatives? Guest guest
Bless your doctor! That is excellent and unexpected advice from a doctor. Good for her. Please continue to do your research, change your diet, exercise, lose weight if you need to, etc. Take the A-F Betafood I just wrote about. Eat beets. Severely limit meat and eggs. Amber My Dr. said that I do not have any stones, just a defective GB. She recommended that I try diet to control the pain. She left it up to me to see if could maintain. Guest guest
Hi, I just joined yesterday. From what I've been reading, many gallstones are impossible to spot on x-ray or by catscan. Many of these " stones " are just fatty clots of cholesterol. They fall apart out in the air, or probed. ly, what I'm thinking about is if so many of them are in fact so soft and maliable... why are they more often zapped with a hot lazer to melt them, or break them up? More about me later...but I do NOT want to lose my gallbladder. > > I had a minor attack 2 nights ago (fatty food related) (no stones). I > am still feeling pain. Guest guest
There are many alternatives. The archives are full of them. The pain is caused by contraction of smooth muscle, any muscle relaxant should give relief. In the herbal world, peppermint oil, wild cherry bark, apricot pit (last 2 my favorites), valerian, Jamaican dogwood bark (powerful), corydalis, are all good possibilities. I love the diagnoses of a " defective " gallbladder. No ____! Or maybe we should take out the no. " Hey Doc, I am having a gallbladder attack. " " You have a defective gallbladder. That will be a hundred bucks please. " I could have told you that for half the price and it could land me in jail. Vegetarian diets are not necessarily the best for gallbladder health and while the fat avoidance diets try to avoid an attack, they exacerbate the problem. If your toilet is stopped up, and you turn the water off going into it, you still cannot flush the toilet even though it cannot overflow. There are probably better alternatives. Again, the archives are full of them. Check out the fat stuff by Dale . Try this also for the pain: put the middle of the palm of your left hand over where you feel the pain. the heel of your right hand above the fold in the inguinal (right) of your groin with the fingers to the inside of your leg (adductors). Laying down is best. do " fours " with your left foot on the inside of your right knee (heel above, metatarsals below). If it completely relaxes and you feel a pulse below the knee, or you get bored, move the heel of your left foot down and touch about 5 o'clock to your right medial meliolus (big nobby thing on the inside of your foot). Helps a lot for some people. Good luck, and even better decisions. Always, in all ways, -Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: osocristie<mailto:osocristie@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2007 3:29 PM Subject: I am in pain at this very moment! Guest guest
Some gallstones are fractionable through a type of ultrasound. It depends on their composition. Ultrasound may not be as innocuous as we are lead to believe however. -D ----- Original Message ----- From: Elaine Gallant<mailto:elainegallant@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2007 5:23 PM Subject: Re: I am in pain at this very moment! Guest guest
Great choices. Both work by stimulating the flow of bile not by relaxing either the muscle or interfering with the pain/nerve signal. But work well by moving the " blockage " of bile. Best approach if it will work; not only relieving the symptom but working on the issue at the same time. -D ----- Original Message ----- From: james cal<mailto:jcal45@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2007 11:34 PM Subject: RE: I am in pain at this very moment! the only thing that would help me in the middle of an attack was coptis and curcoma.but i had stuck stones at the time. >From: " osocristie " <osocristie@...<mailto:osocristie@...>> >Reply-gallstones <mailto:gallstones > >gallstones <mailto:gallstones > >Subject: I am in pain at this very moment! >Date: Thu, 02 Aug 2007 22:29:04 -0000 > >I had a minor attack 2 nights ago (fatty food related) (no stones). Guest guest
From what I've read, having the GB removed is no guarantee that a person will not have any more pain in that area. They need to clean up their diet to correct the problem that caused the GB problems in the first place. Without diet changes, the underlying condition is still there and can still cause trouble. Amber Get ;your gb removed then you won't have pain but you will have a slew of other pain in the butt problems... .

Guest guest
, you mentioned curcoma, is this the same as curcummin or better known as tumeric? IF it is, I have something that is easy to use for a preparation for a GB flush. Dr Marshall in Round Rock Texas has this formula on his web site and I found it and have used it and love it. You do it for 2 months and then do a GB flush with the olive oil and lemon. I am fixing to do the oo/lemon thing. Here is the formula for it. Liver Flush. 1/2 cup organic tomato juice 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 large garlic pearl, crushed. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric Mix above ingredients together in blender on high. Drink this mixture as your first drink in the morning. Wait 15 minutes and drink a second drink of the same ingredients. Wait 90 minutes before eating or drinking anything. Repeat once a week for 2 months. Here is a couple of web sites for his products. http://www.healthproducts-usa.com/30_hcl_activator.htm <http://www.healthproducts-usa.com/30_hcl_activator.htm> HCL activator http://www.healthproducts-usa.com/30_betaine_hcl.htm <http://www.healthproducts-usa.com/30_betaine_hcl.htm> HCL/Betine http://www.healthproducts-usa.com/ <http://www.healthproducts-usa.com/> Dr Marshall Healthline products 2000 N.
