Guest guest
Quite a lot of the American population have been exposed to this parasite via their pets..... and so too here. Add in the Leptospira canicola ( a spirochete ~ similar to syphilis and Lime disease ) and again, endemic in the pet population ( I think it's the dogs ~ but may be wrong )..... If the dogs are showing greater pre-ponderance of adrenal failure, I would imagine that their greater exposure to pathogens has some bearing on that. Town dogs are apparently worse off than country dogs. No idea about the cats. An infected eye is a good pointer to leptospiral infection in dogs (and humans ~ passed of as 'conjunctivitis' ). May need to check for rats and mice in the vicinity as well (Weil's disease can be passed to humans). I think this is the main reason for the 'Invitation Now Wash Your Hands' but as Sheila pointed out " Now Wear Your Masks " also doesn't work. see the test developed by Burgett ~ and wonder at the connection??
