Guest guest
Hi Everyone I know i am being impatient, i have been on Armour now for 3 weeks and am not really feeling any better. I am on 1 3/4 grains with no ill effects. The first week i had headaches and stiffness in the neck. That has gone now. I also take Selenium, NAE and Serenity cream, I am having a really bad month with PMS as well (maybe that has sonething to do with it). I keep increasing by 1/4 grain per week after starting on 1 grain. Am i doing everyhting right? If so when should i see some results? Guest guest
HI ali You should not be impatient as your body needs to get used to Armour and all the hormones that it has very slowly. Increasing by quarter of a grain a week is incorrect and is not giving your body time to get used to the ioncremental doses. You should increased only every 3 to 4 weeks and then by half a grain if no adverse effects. You are beiong VERY impatient in expecting to see some results in so short a time. Yes, it does happen for some but more often than not, you have to wait a few weeks to begin to feel the benefit. As you have started out so badly, I think you now need to stop any further increases and stay where you are for about 4 weeks and olnly THEN increase by half a grain. How much Selenium are you taking and when do you take your Armour. Have you read the details in our FILES regarding "How to Use Armour Thyroid". If not, go there and read every word and be sure that you understand everything. It is dangerous to mess around using natural thyroid extract. This is why we have made sure to write everything down that you should do and the reasons why. We are not medically qualified on this forum, and that is the reason why we make sure that everybody has access to information that will help them. We recommend through our own experiences. Guest guest
Hi Ali, Sounds good! but you might like to consider adding zinc to your supplements. It's easy to check if you are low in zinc- just suck a zinc gluconate tablet. If you can't taste it you need supplements- try a month later after taking it and you'll see what I mean about taste! Guest guest
Ali, If you want to monitor your zinc levels over time, have a blood test. My doc always orders a 'PLASMA ZINC' blood test. He said that it gives a more accurate picture of what is happening with your zinc. I'm glad that I monitored my zinc. I was below the normal reference range when initially tested. It took me 7 months and supplementation with high doses of zinc to bring my levels back to 'normal'. My doc also mentioned that it is useful to test copper levels at the same time because apparently zinc and copper ratios need to be looked at in conjunction with one another. Hope this is of use. Guest guest
....and have you low adrenal reserve, candida albicans or low ferritin as well Ali, because if you have any of these (or maybe all 3) you will never get well until you get them treated, because all of these stop your thyroid hormone from being absorbed by your body. You might as well not be taking any Armour at all if you have not seen to these. I am very serious about this Ali. Do the Adrenal and Candida Questionnaire that are in our FILES and ask your GP to test your ferritin (stored iron) levels. luv - Sheila Thanks Shiela,I just worry sometimes that nothing will work for me. I have read everything about Armour and take 1/2 dose am and 1/2 pm sublingualy. I take 150 selenium. Will just give it longer, but this week i am more tired than usual, even have trouble getting up stairs.Love AliX No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG.
