Guest guest
Dear fellow gallstone victims: As I've always posted in this group, I was ordered for gall bladder operation last May 23, 2006 after I was released from 14 days of gallstone attack hospitalization. But a day before my operation I called the hospital and my doctor that I was cancelling my gall bladder operation, and would like to live long with it. This decision was based on Jerry 's account: “Don't Let This Happen to You! ” Learn From My Agony! After My Surgery, I Found Out Gallbladder Removal is Often *Completely Unnecessary*!” From this reading, I've also found the best strategies from evading from being attacked by gallstone. Some of which, I've posted already here. I can not reproduce the said material, because it is copyrighted. So, please visit this place to check it: http://www.businessmate.com/gallbladder.htm . I'm so thankful to God, and to him for his advises. I've never been attacked by gallstone for more than a year already. Jess Traci <tracic@...> wrote: I don't regret mine being removed. I would've loved to keep it, and I did control the gb attacks for 2 years with diet. However, while 12 weeks pregnant I had mine removed last November. I had 12 attacks in 4 days, lost 10 pounds during that time. I went to the hospital and I was yellow all over, I was jaundiced, my pancreas was also affected because I Could not keep my blood sugar levels up...they kept dropping so low I was constantly on the verge of fainting. So with my liver and pancreas being affected, the attacks not stopping no matter what I did, and being pregnant I had it removed. I do not miss it, I am not experiencing any problems from it. My mom had hers removed 2 weeks after I had mine removed...she did hers voluntarily...she had a calcified stone as big as her gb, she was worried about cancer. She had it for 30 years and never knew what was causing the pain. She had it removed and the pain is gone. She has always had problems with digestion, nothing has changed. I don't have any digestive problems. Add to the list of people not regretting it, my grandmother and 2 aunts. I am NOT advocating removing it. I tried to keep mine, I felt I would lose my baby if I didn't have mine removed...also, I'd rather lose it than mess up my liver or pancreas. I do believe in doing whatever you can to keep it though, I don't recommend just going in and asking to have it removed. -----Original Message----- From: gallstones [mailto:gallstones ] On Behalf Of Amber Sent: Friday, June 15, 2007 8:42 AM gallstones Subject: Re: Question - people who had surgery This is a note I just received about GB surgery: " You know, I have only come across ONE PERSON who felt having her gall bladder removed resulted in a POSITIVE outcome. ONLY ONE!!! Out of probably a hundred or more! Those are pretty bad odds, I think! " I provided GB information to two people who decided to go ahead anyway and have theirs removed. They both regret it now. But now it's too late. Amber .. Guest guest
I haven't read the entire link yet but it certainly starts out good. I'm glad you got the information in time. My only GB attack was March 12, 2006. I've read that for lots of people, they never have another attack. I certainly hope that's true.
