visit to my G.P what a joke

I went to see my GP today to see if I could get a free t3 and T4. He

said they dont bother with T3 as they use it only for cancer patients

and would only precibe it to me with cancer. He said the lab would

throw it in the bin. He wouldnt look me in the eye.

I tryed to explain about armour but he just ingnored me. He told me I

need more T4 and I should up my thyroxine to 150, I told him that I

had tryed that and got very intense heart papitations and anxiety. He

told me to just deal with it and increase my dose. I tryed to tell

him that the symtoms are so unpleasant that Im not sure if I could do

that. He told me I would be fine and to do it.

I had a thyriod test in december 07

here is my results

serum tsh 5.85 (0.3 -5.5)

serum free t4 14.1 pmol/L (12.0- 22.0)

I feel rubbish and I have never felt right on thyroxine, no matter

what my results. My body temp is low too between 35.5 -35.8

I have ordered some Armour today, I am really fed up with docs, not

having a clue. I am from now on going to take the power back in my

life.

What does anyone think of my test results. They dont really mean much

to me.
