Guest guest
I don't know if anyone else feels the same as me about this. For the past week I have felt pretty bed and spent most of it either in bed or on the sofa. Most of it crying. Couch potato or what! Blood tests galore (well we know the rest lol). Tv on, and I'm getting pretty sick of hearing how you can go along to the GP if you smoke and get help to stop. Some of my family have beeen and they have all gotten free treatment!!! They were also given a medical and a full blood test that I know to one included a FULL yes a FULL thyroid function test! (GRR) Never being a smoker myself I don't know how hard it is to give up. However, my gripe of the day is this: With us thyroid sufferers who can't get the treatment we soulfully need. Did we ask our bodies to do this to us, did we inhale something that took its toll on our bodies and gave us this? I think NOT. So why oh why, do Gp's with no questions asked treat people who just want to give up smoking - in my opinion they put the ciggerette to their mouths, they lit it and they smoked them. They know the problems that smoking can do, as its on the packets - in my opinion they had the choice to either not to smoke it or smoke it and risk health issues. And so therefore, if they wish to give up smoking they should take measures on their own to stop! After all did their GP hand them the first cigerette to smoke! Did any of us go down the path wishing our thyroid would make us as ill as it has done with no fault of our own. When we take a trip to the Gp's what do us thyroid sufferers get told, its either in our head, or the blood tests are normal so go away you can't be ill, but come back if you feel worse! Perhaps its time I started to smoke! There are times I want to scream and times I want to scream and shout! This is one of them. Gripe over for the day! Climbing off the soap box!
