I also work out but have read that people with GB problems should not consume

much red meat or eggs. Therefore I started drinking whey protein drinks. I

think you need to ease up on the meat and eggs. I will say that organic eggs

haven't bothered me, but I still keep them to a minimum.

Guys i want to go back to the gym but i would like to know if that is

counterproductive or would have a boomerang effect if i take or consume proteins

(beef, eggs, milk also) to do my workouts. Also i wonder if doing exercises

would affect the movement of the stones and cause pain. Please, i need

suggestions.

For protein sources, whey protein is great, but watch for all the fillers they

may have in them. Egg whites should be fine, as they have no fat in them.

There is some ideas that one should avoid excess dairy if you have kidney

stones, but I have not found definitive source for this...to include low fat

yogurt, cottage cheese and ricotta cheese are good. I would avoid overly

processes cheeses...your body does not digest these very easily.

I have no idea about the movement of working out to cause the stones to move.

Thanks, Keri.

I'm doing much better since watching my diet, but not over the hump yet.

I found that lemon juice in water has been most helpful too, except I've

experienced a noticeable weight loss over the past month. Since my last doctor

visit 2 years ago, I've lost about 10 lbs. (most in the few weeks I think) and

am

concerned about losing too much weight (my average weight 155 at 5'6 " )...

Had much physical activity this past weekend and either the preoccupation

with what I was doing or the activity itself seemed to help my GB issues,

although I have found that movement/position while sleeping, e.g., has affectd

my GB

symptoms suggesting I have a very " mobile stone " . Not sure if the kink in my

back today is a result of a mild muscle pull or the stone.

Have ultrasound and bloodwork scripts as soon as I get time. Otherwise, I'm

feeling much better than I did last week and have alot more energy.

All for now... reporting in.

Regards to all,

Fran

Good for you - smart smart move to do such a successful cleanse - in two weeks

do another one, because stones from the back of the liver will move up -

eliminate them. I wouldn't hesitate to go to the gym now. I found when I did

my first flush - the stones in the main portal of the liver were those

eliminated first - these were the ones causing most of my problems.

lost 15 pounds (i am 5'7, 153 lbs) and i am in my ideal weight now.

hello carlos-

your body needs protein. i started off w/ proteins that were easy for

my body to digest- fish, seafood, then after 1-2 months added

poultry. i also started off w/ very small amounts. i was buying my

fish from costco, which is individually frozen. one piece, which

would be a normal serving for a person w/ healthy digestive system,

started off as 3 servings for me. i was also able to eat 1 soft

boiled egg a day, but it was awhile before i could eat more than

that. after about 6 months of fish and poultry i tried some lamb,

then a few months later beef. they are only occasional in my diet, i

still mainly stick to fish and poultry.

as for the milk, its not working out for me. i've read that dairy is

really an issue for people w/ gall bladder problems. it has been 1

year since my last attack, i eliminated dairy from my diet. i've

recently found a source of raw dairy, which is easier to digest, and

i don't think my gall bladder is appreciating it. (is there anyone

out there that has been able to add dairy back into their diet

successfully?)

as for exercising...i'd think that would be a great thing to do. i've

read it keeps your digesting system moving and things don't get

stagnant. it helps to keep the bile flowing so the sludge and stones

don't form. i know i can tell the difference if i slack off on my

walking. however, i don't do any vigorous gym workouts so i can't

speak for that.

i know mainstream doctors tell us not to eat fat because they say

that is what causes the gallstones. according to dr thomas cowan

(http://fourfoldhealing.com/Q & A%20Gall%20Stones.htm)eating too much

of the wrong kinds of fats and not enough good fats is what causes

the stones. but you do have to start off w/out fat to let your

digestive system heal and then gradually add them back in.

i hope i've been of some help. best of luck on your journey.

be well,

~beverly

I have a question:

Will physical exertion irritate an ailing gall bladder? Mine's settled down

since about two weeks ago, but I find when doing, for instance, outside chores

I can get that feeling of an attack which passes after a short time.

Yesterday I splurged and ate some pepperoni, cheese and a hotdog (sort of a

test) throughout the day. It did not bother me at all. Last night went out and

had a salad, but it was late (after 10 PM) and that did bother me a little

which I attribute to easting later than I should have... mild discomfort didn't

last long and was quelled by drinking my lemon juice in water.

Otherwise, I'm doing much better these days having altered my diet. It's the

weight loss that concerns me and I'll plan to do another flush soon (last one

was about 3 weeks ago) in an attempt move/pass my stone(s). I think it's

possible for someone to lose 6-8 lbs. in a mere few weeks when changing/limiting

their diet to calm down the gall bladder and digestive processes... true?

The noticeable weigh loss has had me a little concerned since I am/was at a

good weight for my size.

Thanks.

I drink organic whole milk because I love it and have never had a problem with

milk. Some people cannot tolerate milk. I have found that I can occasionally

eat an organic egg. I rarely eat red meat any more, just chicken and fish. As

far as exercising, even gentle bouncing on a rebounder (mini-trampoline) is

extremely helpful. It exercises every cell in the and is great for lymph

drainage. As to fat, the body needs the proper fats, e.g. olive oil, coconut

oil, fish oil, flax oil, avocados.

I've drank milk my entire life, and when I started having gall bladder

problems I have had a problem with milk. We were even drinking raw milk, and

when I tried switching to raw skim milk- same problem. I've read that food

allergies can lead to gall bladder problems, but that's just one theory. It

would explain why all of us can tolerate different foods!

Have a blessed day!

Same thing happened to me. I always was able to drink

milk until I had a bad gallbladder attack two months

ago. Since then, I can't drink milk without feeling

intense gas pain, but I have no problem with either

soy milk or lactose free milk.

If I were you, I wouldnt test myself with pepperoni

and cheese and hot dogs. They're bad for you anyway

and even if you didnt have peroblems this time around,

you will the more you get used to it again, The

discomfort you felt after the salad could still be

attributed to your eating those bad foods earlier.

If you want to gain some weight, I would suggest

eating healthy foods that can bulk you up like bread.

Try eating more but of only healthy food.

That's interesting. From what I've heard, the liver getting clogged

and not working right will cause allergies. Many people who cleanse

their liver enough times get rid of all their allergies. Liver not

working at full capacity also can lead to gall bladder problems.

I'm not sure what comes first, but liver health is definitly important

and too often neglected as a major part of our health.

Best Regards,

Vince

Yes....adding dairy back in was possible for me, but only raw milk and

cream.....homogenization and especially the pasteurization destroys all the

enzymes needed to digest the milk as well as all the beneficial bacteria....of

course not all states allows raw milk for sale.......
